Safe Reservoir Temps For DWC?

Im running LED's in my room (mars tsw2000) and trying to follow VPD as much as possible. Im told that running LEDs i need to have my room temp a bit higher because the leaves dont get the heat they should ]running something like HPS, so i have to account for that with room temp. I dont have a chiller and am scared about reservoir temperatures getting too high and root rotting out. WHat are some peoples experiences on how hot their res temps can get and still be safe

I'm growing in a modified DWC, which I call an SWC. The Grobot app will calculate your VPD, and you can also set the leaf temp, which you'll need to take with an IR thermometer. Usually the default is that the leaves are 2C cooler. TBH though, I don't really pay much attention to it these days, especially in hydro. What I pay most attention to is getting the humidity down in flower. So I use a 200W small and quiet dehumidifier, it makes the room warmer which I'd rather not but it's better than humidity. Currently I have a plant vegging in this very dry and high VPD environment, which is not supposed to be good but it's going gangbusters.

Regarding res temperature, mine gets pretty warm in the summer sometimes 29C, everything is fine. Cooler might be better but it did no harm. Having said that, I have heard it mentioned that warm temps have less oxygen, but that's why I do SWC rather than DWC. If you have everything else good, then a slightly warm res is not going to matter.

I suspect it's the leaf surface evaporation that cools the leaves rather than the ambient temp.

I had problems with root rot when mine got over 75° cleaned with 0.25ml/gallon clorox and drooped down to 0.1ml once it cleared up. Obviously cooler is better, but if you're running sterile and they get into the mid 70s your plants can handle it.

Been running around 71 now for several days with no issues, also have hydroguard as a saftey. Thanks for the feedback guys

I use a chiller kept at 67. In the summer my temps were getting up to like 75+ and although I didn't have issues, I could smell the nutrients. Grabbed a chiller and use a mycorrhizae additive.
