i belive that the current laws are somehting like 5-200 plants are a manditory 9 months, as well as 9 months for anyone growing 1+ plant that is either accompanied by a firearm, if its boobytrapped, its not your property ie. renters. guerilla growers, or proximity to a public area. and if im not mistaken when they do the medical marijuana shit in november is gunna make it even harder since they are erequireing all medical marijuana to be grown by private buisnesses like your average perscriptions are.

That law looks like total bullshit. I thought pot was almost legal in canada. Aren't there some seedbanks based up there?
The article I read said Canada's crime rate is at its lowest in 40 years, and they are passing a huge new anti-crime bill? Thats ridiculous.
There was some terrorism stuff in there too, I've never heard of any terrorist attacks in canada, but politicians love to use that excuse to take away freedoms. My wife went to UAE a few years ago and they told her to say she was from Canada if anybody asked so she wouldn't get fucked with for being an American. Funny that they think they need new anti-terrorism legislation.

With a Majority Conservative government.
If anyone Gives a FUCK I would ask that you strongly consider looking into at least signing the petition for this bill at http://whyprohibition.ca/ or follow what is actually going on because here is what they are ASKING FOR MINIMUM SENTENCES!
Sentences for Growing Pot under Bill S-10
Six months to 14 years if the number of plants is between 5 and 200.
Nine months to 14 years for 5 to 200 plants, grown for the purpose of trafficking.
One to 14 years for 200 to 500 plants.
Eighteen months to 14 years for 200 to 500 plants, grown for the purpose of trafficking.
Two to 14 years for 500 or more plants.
Three to 14 years if for 500 or more plants, grown for the purpose of trafficking.

So they look at you different for growing pot and having guns right? I hunt, have my firearms license and keep all my guns and ammo in seperate safes, would I still be fucked? I have 1 plant and 6 long rifles, to me that makes me 83% hunter and only 17% grower.

Did they already pass the new s-10? when is it expected to be voted on?
edit: Ok so the new s-10 is part of 8 other bills that failed in the past. The total of 9 bills which includes s-10 is now called the safe streets and community act. Conservatives are fuckin backwards.

i actually just read today in a vancover newspaper that the minimum sentances will be tougher on people growing pot than sex offenders and pedofiles. Someone growing weed in a rented property will receive a higher mandatory sentence than a pedo that forced a child into beastiality!! WHAT THE FUCK!!

Good Point Cali chronic! I never officially had an issue with any one political party in Canada before this point. Don't get me wrong, I mean ive always HATED the BS we call "Government" and I come from Quebec where Flaming Separatist Habs fans run free in the streets.. After having served 4 years in the Canadian Forces, now I look at the situation from a whole different perspective. If the people who run the show in this country do not stand for what it is that the population stands for. THEN WE ARE NOT FREE, WE CAN NOT BE PROUD OF THE BEAUTIFUL LAND WE CALL OUR OWN. Not until those people are gone and informed that they are UNWELCOME. That there CHILDREN are UNWELCOME and there children's, children. Such was it in the past and such it must be again.
I propose that everyone on this forum buys RC planes, we all grow 4 plants (to keep it under a mandatory sentence if we get caught) then once they are flowered we fly them over 24 Sussex Drive and get that SOB arrested and JAILED for trafficking ..
