So i recently finished my 1st ever shroomie grow, and the cake has finished pretty molded as you can see here:
the cake had some fruit bodies on it when I first spotted the mold,so i kept the cake just for the hell of it,later i realized that fruit harvested from a molded cake doesn't necessarily has to be spoiled or unconsumable,if it's not one of those fatal molds of course, cuz some molds are harmless.
I ain't no expert by any means but it really seems like the mold that developed on the cake is that common green mold that you see on bread in your kitchen from time to time, hope the photo helps.
and these are the mushies i picked off of that cake, they looked really clean when chopped em,no mold on the shrooms themselves or anything.I guess the black discoloring and the beginning of the trunk is cool(?),it seems like they react like that when injured(cut)
the other two mushrooms are 2 days older as for drying :S
So,would you try em?
