Safe to leave heater on all night?

I have a small space heater from Amazon in my tent. Temps have been pretty cold here. Currently, I have it running on 2 separate cycles for about an hr and a half each time. I was trying to avoid the tent getting to hot so that’s why I don’t leave it running all night. I also have a seedling mat under the pot to keep roots warm. Would y’all think I’m safe to run the heater all night to keep everything warm?

Get a temp controller like $20 so it turns on and off at certain temperatures

An oil filled heater is fine
Please don't run any other type

Fan heaters suck shit in thru the back and burn it with the filament causing a fire. Then subsequently spits it out the from because of the fan. Its just more dangerous. Radiant oil heaters are much safer.

Also use a inkbird temperature controller to save energy and not to over heat your space

Yep that works as well. Radiant heat. Not fan forced.

I got two 200 watt heaters hooked to an inkbird and it's been working safely for me. I have a fire alarm in the tent and fire extinguisher right outside tent just in case. I have alexa guard in the tent room connected to my phone in case something happens when I'm not home she detects alarm sound.

I've used a variety of heaters in my grow room the last 20 years. Most have been regular instant on types that I control with a baseboard heater thermostat wired up in regular metal box with cords long enough so the thermostat can be hung up away from the heater. Oil filled ones take too long to start putting out heat then stay hot for long after the thermostat has turned them off. This causes a wide range of temps in the grow space and not ideal. With most heaters they have a tip-over switch in the bottom that has to be in contact with the floor for the heater to work. Nothing a little duct tape can't defeat if you want to hang the heater up off the floor.

This is the one I've been using for a couple years now. Two - 750W elements and a small fan inside to push the heat out. I just have one element going that's good enough and if it ever burns out I'll just use the other one. Got it new at a garage sale for $20. You just leave the thermo on the heater at max and let the wired thermostat turn it on and off.

That baseboard heater mounted to the wall isn't connected atm. Set it all up and wired it in only to discover it is a 240V and barely got warm when wired for 120. lol I have a 240 line going into the room but it only has two hots and a neutral with no ground wire so have left that one until I get around to replacing the line. Entails crawling around under the shop on my belly to replace the cable so have been putting it off.

I have a $45 Wal-Mart oil heater. Analog with three wattage settings. 1500, 900, and 600.

According to my square-foot. It needs about 750 watts. On the 900 setting, its perfect. I have the heater sitting in front of the intake. The air is heated as it enters the room.

The outdoor temps last night was in the 30's. I have the night temps in the grow room set at 72°. It varied from 71° to 73°.

The controller is a temp controller for a bed room. Programmable.

I might look into the thermostat that’s not a bad idea. My grow tent is in a metal shed outside. Been in the 30s here too, even in the 20s a couple of nights. With the heat on temps get to about 68-73. It’s a regular fan heater that has a switch on the bottom so if the heater falls over it turns off. I have it positioned behind the desk fan I have in there. I like the idea of being able to set one stable temperature though

i just got a Pelonis heater off Amazon. you can program whatever temp you want. like 60 bucks shipped.

Running a space heater all night in a tent can be a bit tricky. Safety should always come first. Make sure the heater has tip-over and overheat protection features. Also, keep it away from flammable materials.
