i can tell you that with 4 600w's you will need them to be air cooled and will need them to be ported together with ducting and will need to use an exhaust fan to cool them.

If you can cool them without having to put an a/c in their then you should be fine. 2400w is about the same as a 2 ton a/c would use if you ran it all day. I always say anything under 3,000w of lighting and you are fine but I also don't live in the UK so I'm not sure how much they are watching and inspecting electrical usage.

That is a way confusing post, lets hope you end up with British Gas, it seems to be half of the cost of E-On.
How are you going to run your lights? 1 600 watt for veg, 3 for flower? Just as a reference for price.
From my initial review and a little math (i will show you how i got here if you would like) That with 1 veg 3 flower lights (18/6 for veg and 12/12 flower), you will be running about 85 pounds a month for the lighting part. You still have to account for: cooling, fans, actual ballast power loss, your normal household usage, and the service charges of having the service.
Based on their "average" monthly bill you will be a fair amount higher, at least 50% probably closer to 100%. So that very well may be enough to raise a red flag.
Here in the states we spend stupid amounts of money on things that use a stupids amount of electricity, ie hot tubs, tanning beds, salt water fish tanks, i could keep going, i don't know how common this type of stuff is in the UK, but could easily cost that much extra a month.

4x600wtt for 12 hours is the same as running your cooker for under 3 hours .... switch to takeaway food and you will be fineeeee :-)

Ive seen many 2bed houses in the uk running 6x 600wtt that have been running for 5+years, but never tryed myself

best way to cool would be to grow 2 systems 2x600wtt one off 1 on jobby an have a monthly rolling crop ( small cloning room )

From some one who is in the UK and have plenty of the helicopter fly overs I would be panicking like fuck permanently. I would suggest tents. Venting tents to another room in house and AC that room. But that's a fuck load of heat. You be surprised. I wouldn't fancy moving that.

spunkymoney you have a good point i would love to use 1x600 for veg and 3x600 for flower and do it all in tents as its a closed enviro. You sure you have 6x600 in uk homes and also 2 beds

i think an ac should keep temps down if using 4x600s and saying that that will kill 3kw plus..

nasar, the size of the op you are wanting is not conciderd to large scale and you can cut the cost of electric by using new/digital ballests, Im currantly in a 1 bed house (NOT GROWING) and my electric bill is £40 per week due to heating/cooking and baths ..... if i choise to grow i exhust all the heat from the growroom into the house meaning i no longer have to run 3.8kw of heating, i eat out 5 nights a week ( treat yourself you should be able to afford it ) saying this if i run 2 x 600wtt my bill drops to around £25, and back up to £40 with a extra 1kw tent but that pays alot more then the restrant fee :-)
so i guess what im trying to say is if you increase your electic just do something to reduce it,

yes ive seen many of 6x600wtt setups in 1 and 2 bedroom houses :-) just dont steal the electic as that will get you busted quicker then the crop comes in
