Safety questions

I'm starting a DWC with one 400 watt HPS light. I'm plannig on Foylon on the walls and floor, and the light is around a foot and a half from the wall. What kind of things can I do to reduce the chances of a fire starting and reducing hotspots? Also I wanna keep the smell of them down as well. It's located under the stairs so it's a a constricted space

if you do anything make sure your wiring is nice and tidy and your plug-ins are high enough to avoid a water spill. also you want your wires to droop a little lower than the plugin. Just like you would do with an aquarium wiring

A fire is one thing. A fire in a grow room is another

Well I live in Canada, so it never gets sorchingy hot outside, can one light really create that much heat?

without ac, my 400w hps will keep my closet at 100+ and thats with exhaust and two fans and door open
