Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

VPD really doesn't have much to do with lighting unless whatever your using is hot and raising temp by a lot. More on the lines of your temp/rh controlled by inline, humidifier,heater/ac ect. That burple is really only decent to veg/seedlings with. I've actually stripped reds from a old burple to add on the diy. These strips don't really get hot at all, I'm running mine about 80% 600w in a 5x5 area... only raises the area temp up about 4-5*

No I was asking about the VPD, only.
This is the first time I have read about "DLI"
And yes, I am aware now of the Burple fixture, and the lack of spectrum from it. That is why I added the viperspect 100w, fixture in the tent.
So far this is my first successful grow..
Thursday will be 15 weeks total, and 5 weeks from flip. I have 2 plants in there, and they are well into a satisfying bud stage.

So I am thinking about using these strips on place of the Samsung strips.
BXEB-L0560Z-35E2000-C-B3
8 PCs on 4 bars, in a 4x4.
What do y'all think?

I'd look for higher voltage. Data sheet for those is saying 20v-1.4Amps max. Only around 200w for a 4x4 won't cut it imo . They have the same strips in 36-39v , BXEB-L1120Z-35E4000-C-B3, that will double your wattage basically. If you go with the ones you posted, id get more than 8 :joint:

Yes!!!!
That is why I was looking for other strips, for those L09s are spendy up there right now.
Was looking for a more affordable strip.
But I will wait for the L09s.

also bumped the autec drivers back up. But I grabbed some delta 320W drivers and some meanwell 220V only 480s for really good price. But they only had a few :( not enough for my next project. Arrow needs to get back on their discount game amirite

I've got a few strips from here, the old lm561c that are still working just fine. He's got B&H Series too. Just another option if your short on time..

No, not running out of time or anything like that. But just trying to keep up on the sales, which are not happening for me like I was hoping. But I have time, for my next build. So I will wait, but if I could find the L09 strips at an affordable price. I will grab them, but not at 12.00 a piece.

Haven't been looking around much but did notice this hlg-480h-30b https://www.arrow.com/en/products/hlg-480h-30b/mean-well-enterprises for super cheap on arrow and it got me thinking about whether this would be a viable option for something like the bridgelux strips that run at +/- 20 volts. Using 20v and the max of 16 amps you would be able to pull +/- 320 watts in total correct? If that's the case, you would still be in the upper range of efficiency for this driver (using the datasheet curve and roughly 67% as the load percentage).

I guess what I'm ultimately after is your guys thoughts on going this sort of route with the discounted driver, just need to use simple math to know what to expect out of the driver, or is there something I am missing when looking at driver spec sheets only that would make this ill-advised?

Maybe use blux gen3s; 2ft + 1ft In series should be almost 30V.

Since that driver can Dim, it'd work great on 24v strips. I know "q" series were on sale awhile back. They use lm301B . I'm more familiar with Samsung strips rather than BRLX . Nice price for that driver though....

So looking around some more, I have found these strips. What about this, will this work ?
SI-B9U171560WW, The specs seem right, what might I be missing? I am trying to light a 4x4 tent.

they are only 108lm/w which is about half of what the best of the best are...
