@stox i will answer here in public saves repeating things.
You can certainly go from veg to harvest in that space. I run all single row samsung h-influx lo6 strips in my cab and veg space. The key is to keep each strip running dimmed or enough strips to max out the driver so they all run soft. You will be able to let the canopy get within 2 inches and have no problems. As far as how many watts per foot things get different because of the limited height so no more than 30 max i dont even run mine any where near 30 watts per foot any more as i found anymore than 25 watts in my grows is not required. Forget ir or uv etc in that space it will cause problems. Running scrogs or plants trained for level canopy is the secret sauce and only concentrate on the tops 12 inch is perfect but max 18 inch colas. Look in my diaries as it is all well explained in text and photos and the proof in the harvest no bullshit just honest results and some silly experiments. My cabs being changed after the current grow and adding a third shelf. So things are going to get very interesting.
Zypheruk - thanks for coming out of your observation cave, and joining the conversation. This has clarified what everyone else has been saying, and put the puzzel piece together. This thread, and forum for that matter has helped a lot. Everyone here , especially Moflow, has had some valuable and solid advice.

Zypheruk, what do you mean? I can read up on whatever the technique is, or details are, but if you could say in a sentence or 2 about how to max the driver out Keep amps as high as possible to get 75 watts going while dimmed low?
The key is to keep each strip running dimmed or enough strips to max out the driver so they all run soft.
I checked out those LED strips you mentioned and it has a single row 1f strip - runs at about watts - the L02. On digikey, there is no Fseries 1f single row strip. This one looks solid too.

I think i've made my choice. :
inFlux_S02: 16.6w x4= 66.4w+- and I have a little over 2sqf so lets say +- 30w per sq/f
(a little more then you mentioned was optimal but i figured dimming and reducing power output will do the trick
spec sheet mentions that each has as Power Consumption of aboutW16

Driver HLG-120-48A OR XLG150-24A (10EURO less)

When all this is over, I will post my previous CFL setup and the new revamped LED strip setup. I'm excited for the next grow - this was my first, close to end, but I already want to make changes for a more efficient, lower watt consuming, and ... overall better grow with less mistakes.

Maybe I'd be the first 1x2x3 box project on the forum :)

I can't find much clarification online regarding driver Volt rating. Eg. for HLG-120-48A OR XLG150-24
48V output
24V output
I know that the amps needed for the project im making is enough, but I don't understand volts enough.
Maybe a yes or no answer would be alright.
My understanding is V of driver = V output for all connecting LED's until the AMPs are used up?
these inFlux_S02 strips have a 12v average , technically I could use a XLG150-12 driver, right?

I hope I didn't kill the thread heh. Either way, i'm making a project post after.

Aren't the Samsung H nflux S02 12v, 1380mA nominal...? 1ft long
You mention hlg 120h 48A driver above
MW HLG80h 12A driver has 5 amps. ÷ 4 S02s = 1.25 Amps per strip

your right - HLG80h 12A would be ideal for this box. I found HLG80h-15A on digikey. I can't wait to put this together!!!
Will order soon, just want to let my current grow finish and clean up the grow room.

Pineapple express and Sweet tooth will be next - CBD focused strains with creative and relaxing and pain relief functioning.

@zypheruk
Big Fan of yours here!
I am about to build a cab similar to yours and would love to see how you did your setup. I am looking to build a 3x4x10 cab with three levels using strip led like you do.
1) Do you have any threads on your cab build/design? or recommend anywhere to see someone's similar?
2) Considering I am working with 40 inches of vertical space in each level, which are the most best/efficient strips?
3) Are there any other growers that grow successfully in a similar fashion? (3-4 feet of vertical space)

Thanks in advance for any direction/guidance!
