Samsung LM561C strips. Please help with power supply

Totally agree, but we did not design them to run at 25 watts, if we did we would have halved the chip density and the price, so the same argument applies to the denser Samsung strip. These have 112 leds on them and Nichia Chip is max 180ma so max drive on these could be 2.8Amp

hi mark
Are these the diodes?

http://www.nichia.co.jp/en/product/led_product_data.html?type='NFSW757G-V2'

it appears they are 34.1 lumens at 3000k 80cri 65ma 2.84v
.............................36.9 lumens at 5000k ets.
so...... ....35.5 lumens at 3000k 80cri 65ma 2.85v for 561c A1 voltage bin
.............................38 lumens at 5000k 80cri 65ma 2.85v
so the A1 561c is better or at least the same
nichia has a better bin the 757g v2 f1

http://www.nichia.co.jp/en/product/led_product_data.html?type='NF2W757G-V2F1'

Which is 37.2 lumen at 5000k and 34.6 at 3000k vf is 2.73 so better efficiency then the v2 and comparable to the AZ samsung which is alittel better with 38 lumens at 5000k Vf 2.75 and 35.5 lumens at 3000k.
SOOO... how does this nichia chip shades the sumsung as you said???
samsung have it better ,and have the best voltag binn AY with 2.65VF and same lumens that nichia is yet to obtain

one more thing pleas. you said that you can drive the strip 2.8A . Is this a mistake?
i guess your config is 16S7P ,so 180ma max for diode,0.18*7=1.26A MAX (2.8A is 400ma for diode)
pleas correct me if im wrong and jumped at the wrong conclusions
cheers :peace::peace::peace::peace:

Hi Kony
Yes your on the money, our testing showed the Nichia V2 F1 is a slight improvement in actual operation than S6 bin Samsung but very little in it and I have not seen an AY bin in the flesh, ever, so cannot compare. The other thing I like about 3030 leds is the uniformity for layout and I think Samsung agree with the release of the LM301B
Sorry, bit of a typo, your correct PCB max is 1.26Amp, board has 16 series strings, in 7 parallel strings
Cheers

Thank's mark for your replay and for your cool temps :hump:
It allways come to real life test, its good to know that ,thanks',and I agree abut simetric footprint, better for easy design and light spread .
i have not seen AY bin anywhere as well.. yet
cheers
