I really wish that we could just live our own f'ing lives in the USA!! There's always somebody somewhere telling me that I shouldn't be allowed to have certain rights! There's always someone somewhere who is gonna say "not only do I disagree with you but, F you I AM America". There's always someone who believes they are so righteous that others are nothing compared to them!! And so many use the Bible and God as an excuse to discriminate! How about this.....since marriage has "religious sanctity", to so many religions, then why is our government even meddling in the "business of marriage". If a recognized religious denomination or movement feels it is necessary to allow same sex marriage, then the US Government and States, have no right to say that this can or can not happen....and visa-versa for religious organizations that do not wish to allow same sex marriages. Keep in mind that there is a "separation of church and state". With that being said the government should only be dealing in the business of "civil unions" and the definitions of what that should be.....just my 2 cents.

Marriage has a legal definition. It doesn't need to be changed to give gay couples 100% legal rights. Why should that not be acceptable? The answer is because they don't just want "their" rights, they want to hurt others along the way.

If you did your homework, you'd know that civil unions, in most if not all states, DO NOT grant equal rights. Rather, they actually limit certain rights that marriages are granted without question. For example: marriage automatically makes you the decider of your partner's fate should s/he take ill and not be able to make decisions. Civil unions ONLY grant that right IF the next of blood kin says it's okay. Also, civil unions don't permit insurance coverage, nor do they permit the ability to file joint tax returns.

Obviously I'm not talking about gender change. That is a way of physically changing to conform to the definition of male and female. I mean, why can't I just fill out a legal form one day and say I'm male, and again the next day and say I'm female? Or black and white? Or age?
