If you are comfortable with it, a self built system can be made pretty cheap. You just need some minor skills working with pvc piping, drilling, and a basic knowledge of physics. There are plenty of tutorials around the internet on how to build one yourself. Buckets + pvc piping can be bought cheap from any hardware store. A decent water pump wont break the bank either. Lights are where you are going to spend the bulk of your money.

I also am working with limited space, I am using a 4x2x5 tent (LxWxH) and this tent is inside a closet which is pretty much the exact size of the tent width and length wise. It didn't make much sense in florida to do rdwc. My first grow I did DWC but just ran into too many issues with not enough space for water reserves. Also I ran into a lot of issues with bad bacteria in the water. This second grow I did a low pressure aeroponics and finding it much better. No bacteria issues and the way I have the nutrient tank/ clean water res/ and aero tray I am able to fit much more water. Ive got about 12 gallons of fresh water and 3 gallons nutrient tank. This is giving me so far about 5 days between water fills. As opposed to the last grow which was I had to fill almost daily at the end.

If it ever becomes legal here in shitty Florida I'll devote a whole room for the hobby and probably go RDWC.

Forgive me for the dumb question? I am still a newbie grower. By polyploid do you mean the plant changed to hermaphrodite?
No bro it's just a plant that has a branch producing twice as many chromosomes as it should, thus giving it the two buds in one look.

Thanks bro trying to get better at this lol working on getting a fluence light spider plus wanted to build a light but shit kind of hard
Building a light is super simple man. Fluence are nice. But very expensive. Samsung strips or quantum boards. Are alot cheaper. AMD grow jus as good if not better. I built one Samsung strip light for my flower tent. And like it so well and it flowers so well I'm building another one as we speak for my other flower tent. Honestly the money youd spend on a fluence light. You can build one just as good or better for alot less. Plenty of peeps around the forum to help ya out.

See that's what I'm looking into really want to get a 4×8 tent with two nice lights to cover the area . If not a 5×5 with one nice light.

It really is simple. Hooking it up. No solder all plug in stuff. The hardest part is mounting the strips. And it's really jus time consuming to be careful and do it right. Is what take so long to build it. You can do it in a day.
