Sativa or indica?

Hello everybody, im new to growing and i was wondering what are the determining factors in making your dank bud more sativa or more indica? From my understanding indica gives you the more stoned feeling like lazy and hungry weed, while sativa is the pep weed? I like indica more and im trying to understand this very very key part of growing before i start.

Thanks in advance :bigjoint:

theres no way to make your weed like this, its all in the strain, however, if u wait till the majority of your trichomes are amber, you will have more of a body high

Harvest by your trichomes

That way you will now what type of high to roughly expect

you cannot just grow a plant and be like ( im gonna make this one indica )

Its either indica or sativa , or a hybrid

Yer thats right but if you look at the physical differences between a sativa and an indica then you will probably notice the sats leaves are thinner and longer whereas the indica leaves are broad, wider and shorter. Also the indica buds tend to be more dense and resinous as well as the plant having shorter internode space and more budsites.

These are just generalisations and not a hard and fast rule to distinguishing a plant. Buy indica or mainly indica seed that is a short grow with a short plant as advertised on the strain guide of seedbank shops. This should be the easiest option for the new grower. I recomend strains like skunk, northern lights, superskunk etc etc to be the easiest and smelliest plants to grow. Sensi seeds makes a few of the original skunk strains for a cheapo price and order from attitude and get an auto fem seed free too for you to play around with. Peace

Edit- ("I can't even spell sativa, is this correct??? I keep on wanting to spell it satavia, i think i'll just stick to the abbreviation 'Sat'."):blsmoke:

Thanks for the replys, guess i should have added that i already knew it depends on the strains, like some strains are main indica which i plan on getting, what i was refering to was the tricombs. I've seen a few threads of when you harvest your bud before the tricombs start turning that it'll make a difference in the out come? Any body know anything about this?

harvesting before the trichome develop is harvesting an immature plant, huge waste of time, invetment, and pot. Unless you mean they harvest before the trichome turns amber, meaning not much of a narcotic high.

Once you have had a few grows under the belt you wont look at the trics so much you'll just look at the overall bud, when it looks done it normally is. For a new grower i say when they think its done wait another two weeks then it will be done. A lot of new growers harvest too early. Peace
