SAVE MY FREEZER! A cheaper alternative to air con ?????

So in a haze of Strawberry Cough this morning, I found myself thinking of my up and coming cooling problem with summer trotting toward us!

Can't afford the unit or running costs of of an an AC unit, my hazey head came up with an idea . . . . . . tell me I'm nuts please, as if you think it'll work, it'll mean me destroying my quite new freezer, lol.

So the basics, got a little room at the back of the house that always misses the sun, even in the height of summer, it's handy, I leave the window a jar, close the door, and pump the nice cool, air into my adjacent flowering room.

HERE COMES MY MADNESS. The room is tiny, like 3m x 2m, if I was to rip off the door to my freezer, turned the dial up to full wack, rested the intake duct inside the freezer area, do you think the freezer (under counter type) will have enough guts to cool the air that is being forced into the freezer area to get to the intake??

How long do you think the freezer's compressor will last?? lol . . . . . Do you think it would be less to run than an air con unit?

"WTF SFi", I hear it all already . . . . I'm here to entertain till 1800hrs, I fank ooooooooooo

;)

Would it cool the air yes.. Would it be effective.. Don't think so. I would just get the ac unit instead of jacking up your electricity bill as the freezer isn't purpose built for the application.. Just my 2 cents

Better off using the redneck ac.
Either using refreezable ice packs or even frozen veggies n fruit bags.
Depending on how hot the room gets you would maybe have to change the frozen item once a day.
Put it back in the freezer and use another lol

Your freezer won't last with the door open, trying to freeze a never-ending amount of air and it will also work hotter as it burns out.

Door open?? I intend to rip it off!!! BUT Yyyyyup, that's what I'm thinking, give an endless pointless job to anyone or anything; they're gonna fuck it off, eh??!!

PEOPLE CALL ME AN ASK HOLE . . . . . I LISTEN, THEN DO IT MY WAY ANYWAY . . . . .pmpl . . . . .

Ta for sensibility! but fuck it . . . . . gonna do it anyway; will report back already . . . . .

Use the freezer to freeze tubs of water.. Put the frozen cube of water into a cooler. blow a fan into the top of the cooler and connect ducting into flower room. Whenever you remove a tub from freezer replace with another.. Or use water bottles. I imagine you could get 4-6 water bottles into a freezer. Maybe even wrap the cooler itself in some insulation. If you are running lights at night I imagine that this would get you through the night and in 24 hours you'd have plenty of new frozen ice ready to go...
