Saving plants after harvest?

Is it possible to just cut all the buds off of plant, and then put it back into 24/0? Would new leaves start sprouting, would it kill the plant, and what am I looking at until I can start flowering again?

Has anyone done this?

I know it may be a silly question, but if I could keep things more 'green' and not have so much trash to get rid of, as well as be able to reuse my plants.. well.. I think its worth looking into... So.. Does anyone have any ideas how you would go about this?

Yes, it will work once or twice. Just when you harvest MAKE SURE you leave some fan leaves on and tiny popcorn pieces if you can.. The more green left the quicker it will turn around. Be aware though, re-vegging can take over a month. In my opinion it's much better/faster to just take a clipping off the plant and root it before you harvest.. Start over new, will grow faster too.

Okay so, another question - after I harvest, should I go back to 12/12 lights immediately? Also, what about the nutrients? Do I do water for a week or two, and then switch back to 2 week nutes?

I'm already using Super Thrive in my mister, and reservoir, but is there a more concentrated method I should look into to help them survive..? I would have taken more clones, and have a few from my current batch, but was placed into an unexpected situation and now need more, as soon as possible.

I had a pinapple kush hermie that I gave to one of my old buddies last february. We picked out the seeds and left popcorn buds on it and put it outside again. It turned fully female and we got about a pound off it. Another of my buddies just re vegged a plant that I harvested about 2 months ago. He put his on 18/6 and just gave it fish emulsion and it's bushier than it was before. Anyway hope this helps
