Saving some old mothers

Just an update been on the look out for some good old school landrace genetics to cross back to the GG4 ladies I have lined up. First 3 plants are 6 weeks from turn and have stopped stretching and stacking, they are hardening up and getting heavy enough I have to put a girdle on them to keep tops at same height. Tops on stretchy plant are handball size and have stacked nearly full 8-9 nodes down. A squeeze is like velvet covered styrofoam and leaves a visible coating of resin on fingers like glue if you blow it dry. I have only grown GG twice, and one batch I had to cut at 8 weeks and was a little early. Other went 9+ and got a late boost that puffed them up.
Tops on two super crop plants are a bit smaller and will be perfect Ping pong ball nugget size and a consistent cure. Each one has around 30 tops, first time doing a SOG. Here are a few new pics

My fourth grow.4th strain GG. first 3 were between 8 & 9 weeks. This is looking like 10+ possibly. Did you mean SCROG? SOG is single stem Thai type thing.

Yes but I avoid the screen, like to have access around it and am a clutz I just shape and top them young And bend the leading tops and try and have them in a dead heat at the top like a shaved hedge. They are gonna go 10 plus I’ll bet, have 6 big tops on the natural plant that I will take early and let the lower popcorn ripen another week if needed.

My popcorn is gonna screw my schedule. Guess the house stinks while I dry in mini greenhouse in the basement. Only have a week before I need the grow space. I need to do a rare double harvest this time.

They are probably flowering different since they're from seed. With seeds you can get multiple phenotypes.

Day 58 for the first 3 homely clippings from that wayward mother. Got total of 17 out of 100 from chopping her up, she was 7’ tall. Just planted 7 rooted clones from the best of the 3. I am growing through them on a 3 week harvest schedule to find Miss Universe. I am looking for that chocolate, sour diesel with a hint of grape smell. Have taken a few mid buds for scoping and check my curing procedures ( running out of bud too...lol). Here’s a peek

Well tomorrow is day 64 for the first 3 GG4’s. I have been pulling a bud from each plant daily to check trichs. The tall plant has just started to show a few ambers and a few clear left I will pull that plant tomorrow #2 on Wednesday and #3 next weekend so I have a 64-70 day spread for testing. The range of scents in this mutts genetics that every day cure testing is a new bouquet and tasteToday the sample had a very blackberry backend and the jet fuel initial hit is smoothing out. Starting to get a little hint of molcha from one plant also.
