I want to be able to put empty jar on scale and zero scale and then be able to fill jar with buds and weigh. Can anyone recommend a good one? I've tried one off Amazon their #1 seller and it is crap.

As long as the jar isn't over the weight of the scale itself
You'll probably want a kitchen scale rather than one made for pot

But I haven't purchased a scale in many years so I wouldn't know any good recommendations in sure others will chime in

Thanks Sunni hopefully someone will. That's what I tried was a food kitchen scale from Amazon. I thinking a good accurate scale is going to cost around 300.00 to 400.00 but I don't want to spend that kind of money unless someone can say I have that model and it works great for what you"re trying to do.

A quart jar is going to weigh roughly about a pound=16 oz=448 grams. The cannabis inside that quart jar is only going to weigh about an ounce or two, depending on how dry it is and how tightly it's packed. How accurate do you want the reading to be, within a gram?

What was wrong with the Amazon scale you bought?

Look up DigiWeigh scales. I'm on my second one, stepped on the last one,:wall: but it worked fine for 5+years and was only $25. New one was $15. I've always checked them with nickels, which weigh 5g ea, and a 20G test weight, and they are always accurate. They make everything from $10 small digital pocket scales to $$$$$ 5000lb pallet scales.

First off you could not calibrate it. Second always drifting. I ordered this one http://www.nevadaweighing.com/Tree-HRB-3002-High-Resolution-Balance-p/hrb3002.htm
