i have a good spot in a swamp, its a 1/4 acre raised up in the middle of a swamp.....

id like to scatter a few hundred fem seeds to see what happens....im thinking fall so the seeds can settle into the dirt over winter and spring, but im not sure if the freezing temps will destroy the seeds

anyone have experience?please only answer if your sure

Sounds like this spot is a little difficult to get to easily but I think I would seed it in the late fall, and if none make it for some reason I would be very surprised. But you would then have the Spring time on your side and just plant more seeds. But hell getting plants out there any way possible would still be fun to try out.

I've been trying something like this this spring and summer. I soaked seeds for 24 hours and had lots of white showing on them when I put them in beds. I've done this 3 times. Even brought in a little potting soil to put them in. Had a few sprouts out of them, but so far, none of them has lived. GG is right. Start a few in cups, then hike them in.
