you know they were talking about king george, who they fought off with an army, right?

now we have standing armies to deter tyrannical governments and prevent invasion.

that's at least one interpretation. don't get too excited about your line of argument, it is far from a slam dunk. stick with personal defense to justify personal ownership of arms.

have you ever noticed when they are able to catch a shoot-out on film, the professionals (cops) shoot about as good as the criminals who shoot as good as the good samaritans?

bottom line: all armed; all dead courtesy of the A2.
no, not at all. In all truth, i see the cops hitting innocent bystanders and the bag guys hitting the cops.

Then I guess the guns in Chicago weren't purchased there then, were they? So what really is the problem? That maybe there are too many easily available handguns in this country, specifically in those red neck cracker states like Tennessee or Mississippi, which are just below Illinois in case you can't read a map, where if you can walk or talk you can buy a hand gun. Hey, and as far as me shutting the fuck up, that again is a constitutional right for you to say that, just like me saying lick me knob. Peace out, bro.
Mississippi and Tennessee are RIGHT BELOW Illinois too, well expect for Kentucky, Missouri, and Arkansas being in the way, but other than that RIGHT BELOW Illinois, which we all know is just the city of Chicago. Not like Chicago is on the entirely other side of the state than the part that butts directly up to Tennessee and Mississippi. But for sure it must be those southern states that are the cause of the problem, they have lax gun control standards so that MUST be the reason there are so many gun deaths in Chicago.

When you want to buy a gun in Tennessee, you have to pass the FBI Background check just like anywhere else, the statement that only walking or talking qualifies you to purchase firearms in those states is pure garbage.

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with gangs, drugs and the failed war on drugs.

Geography.

a fantasy..........and you have every right to them.
Where do these firearms come from, fucking Santa Claus? Because I know where. Greedy white bastards that live in southern states that allow persons, usually white boys, to buy up to 8 handguns a month. That is a fact. If you want a hand gun, live in Florida, S.Carolina, N.Carolina, Georgia, etc. for 3 months and you can drive up to NYC and sell them for a 300% markup in a heartbeat. Research where all these gun's come from that are used in shootings in NYC and Chicago. 95% were legally bought in a southern state. Fact. I can get a hand gun in 3 day's, no problem if I want, and I am talking off the street (I know bad people) No problem. So people that bitch about shootings, in Chicago for instance, should look at where the gun's COME from, not who uses them. If they didn't have them in the first place no issue, right?

yes including the walmart shopper.

so your little 2A theory of being armed will keep you safe..just went out the window.

that information is available to anyone wanting the facts via google.
It's not a theory. I would be dead now if I didn't carry a gun. True story.

Why do we have textbooks?

The current top down buracracy is not flexible enough to get with the times. Each kid needs a tablet and access to a secure network with all the educational materials provided online. It will take the current administration a decade to implement that and it needed to be done yesterday.
They've tried that and found it to be counter productive. Instead of doing their studies, kids play games and surf the internet. Which shouldn't come as a surprise. I remember how I was and I would have been doing the same thing.
