are you aware that the birds are the closet living relatives to the dinosaurs we have?
It's raining here... so birds are waiting it out....
However yesterday In my back yard, that I saw:
Woodpeckers-"Downy" [small] and Larger "Hairy" they live in one of my maples-two pair of Hairy ones...
Blue Jays-- Many-many Jay's... I name some of them... "Frick and Frack" live in one of the maples
Pair of Cardinals [male and female] "Ricky and Lucy" met at one of the feeders this year, and will mate for life....Although some Male Cards keep another 'for life' friend on the side... it's true
Chick-a-dee's many can't count them [they have nest next door]
House Sparrows, and Song Sparrows-- Many....
Doves, a pair show up first day of spring.... now 10 come into yard daily...
Had Robins, Wood Thrushes, Starlings, Purple Grackles, just not yesterday...
