I have no kids, by design. I called my Dad, who is 86 and reads 30 - 40 books a year. We used to tease him about being Readers Digest Out of Touch.

Now he is much better read than me, these days. A few years ago we gave him a Kindle and now he is more well versed in the political arguments than ever! :)

This was how I got things done typically, walking a packet through is standard fare for me usually. Unfortunately these things cannot be walked through in person, I was forced to use the MEDBOARD process making things more convoluted.

It would also be hard to take leave to hand carry the packet, during MEDBOARD they restrict leave until the process is complete.

It can be done and we do it for the world at my company.

But, remember, govt outsourcing is a crony joke. All those Canadian Friends ripped off the ACA web project and bilked us for a Billion.

They had to hire Accenture to fix it. They could have done that first, but they had no idea they could. They went with their buddies.

They are not game skinned enough in govt, to outsource, modernize, and automate. It turns into waste, abuse and intrusion.

It cracks open the nepotism and the payola, to get organized in govt.

It is why they don't. Job fair.
