Scorpion diablo arrived filthy!

So when I got my light the thing arrived straight up FILTHY, I don’t understand all the other lights I purchased from HLG were practically sterile packaging and I thought this was there flagship model? Anyways the light itself kicks ass but I don’t think I’ll be able to run it at 100 percent

Where did you purchase from. It looks like it was returned or something. If directly please pm me as will do something about this.

Thank you guys but in all honesty this is way, way wayyyyyyy too much light, almost completely fried my plants at 3 feet away on 50 percent, I want to keep it but I see no possible way to ever run this thing even close to 100 percent even with co2 am I missing something here?

They are super strong lights i ended torching my first run in under them coming from blurps but my fault not the lights. My pair of scorpions came lab clean

Not really what happened to me was bad planning and eventually a stoner move lol. My plants were doing great at 40% but when i hit 50 i reached my electrical limits and it tripped. I crammed all the plants under one light and heres the stoner part, put the single light to 80 instead of 50 ……..

Ouch lol, yeh the things just too much the technology is going to far too fast there grow tents not tanning beds lol, I don't see how anyone could EVER run this at 100 percent

Imo the par map is good enough to not need full power which is a plus in my eyes

Your paying for quality spectrum , customer service and build quality.unless your co2 80 is about what you can use but depends on your height. Not being a dick but the stats are there to look at before buying. I wouldnt be happy with dirty lights though

A standard 5x5 grow tent, I'm gonna keep it and do a run with and without co2 I totally do believe this was a return as I did not buy direct from hlg because I had credit at another store I mean the light is deff top quality, but definitely some tinkering to do with hieght and intensity I'm use to using 4 Mars hydro ts1000 in my other 5x5 but they behave way different

Ya I actually have mine mounted as close to ceiling as possible. But its a low 6.5 ft ceiling. Theres no need to lower them lol

I always tell myself 600 watts of led and 1000 of hid for a 5x5 but I guess that's with older lights time to get a nice meter and get with the timesss I guess lol

Get you some MethodSeven's. I still have flashing in my peripheral vision after working under LED's for a few years. LED's flash at a rate we cannot see, because our brains cannot process it fast enough. This is why it looks solid. But, it does something to your receptors and trains them to replicate it in natural daylight. Drives me nuts sometimes. But... always wear proper eye protection, and a bucket hat, and never look directly at the lights.

.... and, my optometrist said he's seeing more cases of this since OK went legal. I have my retina scanned every year... so far, so good.. but, you only get one set of eyes. Do your best to protect them.
