Scrog 3x2 question.

Hello all. Very new to this.

If I have a 3x2 area with a 600hps light and using hydroponics... If using scrog would that room only enough for one plant? or can I have 2 or three in there?

I've never grown before and am still early in the scrog research but in the meantime, I want to get everything together (been reading and reading and reading for about two weeks straight... got a good handle on the cycles, nutes, harvesting, curing, soil based growing... now my research has gone to hydroponics and sog/scrog) On average what height requirements do you need for a scrog setup? Would ~4 ft be good enough? They say ~18" to the screen, then how high above the screen do I need the lights to be? What approximate yields can I expect from a 3x2 setup?

Also.. how much does it change things if the space is 3ft by 18-20"?

Would a different method be better for a better yield for the limited space?

I'm planning on growing White Widow (after a couple trial runs with some cheaper stuff of course, haha.)

Very similar to the type of info I am looking for. I'll try to answer but I am a novice with both scrogging and hydro.

I am considering a 36"x20"x62" mylar hut. I read LBH's guides on scrogging and lst and I want to use hydro (dwc) but I would think a 600 Watt HPS is more than you need for a 3x2 space and unless you already have that light, save some cash there. I was thinking I would put 3 plants (3-4 week veg) in it and top once. Seems to me like that should be manageable and would easily thrive under 400 watts of HPS or maybe even less. I was wondering what kinds of yields I could expect with ak 47 or a similar fast flowering strain. I think both of us are probably doing very similar research and dealing with the same amount of space so I'll sub the thread. Let me know if you start a journal so I can get some ideas or learn from some mistakes.

Abandonconflict: Awesome... I'm at the just got to start stage and see what happens and learn from trial, haha. My plans are to post a detailed journal and possibly video journal because I think there is a lack of video on the how to scrog side. I've already got the 600, so we'll see what happens. Keep me updated on your grows!

A 600w hps ... hmm .. I'd find a little bigger growarea myself and put that to a better use ... but yea if you dont let em veg too long you could probally cram more than one in there .. but with a little more room .........

as of now, that is the grow area, I think I should be okay with the 600... I plan on making a bigger cabinet soon so maybe I'll transfer the 600 there and use this one as a vegetative chamber = )

Mystical, when did you begin? I should be starting exact same setup as you in 2-3 weeks. Different leaf though. I upgraded to the 600 as well, but planned on keeping it at 400 on the ballast. Same thought as you, I would eventually expand affordably after a period. Figure it'll be a lot easier to recreate the Trinity after owning one. Do you have a dedicated journal on this site? Definitely need to keep in touch.
