Scrog advice

So this is my first grow, got a 600w mh over my 3 babys, aurora indica, god bud, and bubblelicious. i have them in 5 gallon pots in happy farm soil, 24 hr light cycles, aprx 6 weeks old today, temp is between 74 and 77. 30% humidity. been giving them purified ph'd water, switching off every other watering with fox farms grow big. i've fim'd and lst'd as you can see. I Am Wondering if anyone has ANY advice or constructive criticism as to how i should go about SCROGing. below you can see a picture of the screen i made and my 3 plants. i screwed the boards together, and cut a wire garden fence to fit inside, the squares are about 2.5 maybe 3 inches tall and wide. the screen is 4 feet by 3.5 feet. how far should my screen sit above the plants when i put it in place? i am planning on starting budding in 1-2 weeks. also, i am wondering if there is a pattern to scroging or do i just weave the plant through the squares as it grows? When should i set it up and when should i start weaving the plants through? ANY INFORMATION IS APPRECIATED!

Scrogging is easy, put your screen about 5 inches above the plants, flip to 12/12 and let them go, adjusting your stalks into the screen along the way. I recommend removing 20-30% of lower foliage, anything under 3" long. Good luck! Looks good by the way.

Some people like letting the plants veg into the screen, but it looks like your about out of the veg stage and ready to flower, so if I were you I'd throw your screen up now about 4 inches away from the tops and flip to 12/12 in a week.

awesome sounds great! and i know i am such a noob but is there any pattern to how i weave them into the screen? is there any tactics or guidelines i should follow? is scrogging essientialy threading the plant over and under the wires? any info is much appreciated

Hey man, personally I'd just veg at 18/6, plants like to sleep too.

You can keep the screen quite close and you don't weave them, just keep tucking them under as they stretch. I normally keep tucking them under for 10 days into flower. Ie from 12/12 and then let them go. I've got a horizontal scrog on the go at the moment in my sig if you want to take a look for ideas.

I put the first net on the first week of flower (didn't top them but I did tie down the top leaves to the net which made huge bends in the stalk.

I added the second net yesterday which begins my third week on Tuesday this coming week. Use Velcro zip ties and keep bending the stalks down
