SCROG growing, first time. Tips please

My plants are about 5 inches tall, a little less. i have included pictures at the bottom,
My questions are:
1) Is my plant tall enough/strong enough to start scrog?
2) How many inches above the soil should i have the net?
3) I have seen two different ways of doing the scrog, one where you weave it through like a bracelet, and i have seen just them growing through the netting.
4) what size mesh should i use for the net?
I need to do the scrog netting because my cabinet i am growing in is only 28 inches tall, so some one help me out. thanks guys

1...yes
2/3...i put my screen right on top of canopy...they will grow through it and when they grow just tie down to screen wherever there is a space.
4...1-2" spaces is fine (chicken wire)
5...go for it!!!

what does that mean "root bound" this is my first grow ever, i know i'm a newbie, but i want to learn the SCROG technique, it fascinates me. ive never seen anything done like it, and am willing to put the time and effort into doing it

being that your space is so small you should start now. Im not an expert but you need something similar to a tennis/volleyball net, or if that isnt accessible make a net with roughly 2inch squares using hemp rope. Mount your net at about half your max height, as the plants reach the net and grow through it, use ribbon to tie them down to the net to force them to grow down and sideways.

root-bound is when plant outgrows pot, which can effect finished product. just make sure they are in final pot before you screen them and you'll be ok.

Nothing wrong with wanting to try different ideas! It's how we learn to Grow!!! Don't listen to the people who say , "don't do this or that..." you can do whatever you like ...here is a pic of my first screen...well part of it :-P
