SCROG Help needed

Hello all
My 2nd grow and I’m trying out the scrog method. My question is after flipping to flower how tall will the tops stretch once flipped? My first grow the plants grew 2X their initial height, will the tops in the scrog do the same?
I’m trying to manage the height of the plants and keep them under 6ft but I also don’t want tiny tops either.
Thank in advance

My trellis/scrog really only helps with keeping the canopy level even. There’s always these rogue colas that just want to get to the light first, that’s when I super crop to level things back out. You should always expect the plant to at least double in height after the flip.

Obviously this will be strain dependant. If its the same genetics as last time expect same stretch, your job is to keep them moving horizontally at least initially in flower.

Yes double in height is what I was thinking as my last grow did and having them growing horizontal was the plan. Just making sure that I was thinking right that the tops would double coming through the squares when flipped.
I want to get this canopy right this time
Thanks for the input guys much appreciated

Nice grow doesn’t look like they were too far above the net on day 1. I’m seeing my plan clearer now. Gotta check the specs for light penetration on these 315’s. I’ve read that the canopy shouldn’t be more than 2ft if I’m correct.
Thanks for the clarity

You took clones already? This will be my 1st time cloning so I’m no pro, but I read a post where the guy took clones because he’d filled his up also. Can’t remember if it was just before or just after flip. Let someone knowledgeable confirm though.

I’m actually going to take a couple cuts tomorrow and hold on to them in case it’s good bud and want to grow again.

I thought you had to be at 90-100%. I didn’t read much before scrogging. Just pictures. I flipped today. Definitely going to need a second screen.

I think I may have packed it too much:

I have one top per square. Is this going to be a disaster and should I cut out some tops?
I would just let them grow over the sides and then just let them grow up from their.

That looks good just keep tucking as they stretch double buds in each square is fine
No second screen should be needed
Nice work

Thanks man! I didn't really weave as I wasn't sure of quite how to do it just the basic idea.

I grew them out to about 6-7 nodes, then chopped them above the 2nd.

Then put the screen over the spread out branches on each pot. The screen is about 3-4" above the pots.

Here is another view:

Let the branches grow out and just pruned and defoiled every week. Took out about 6 grocery bags worth of leaf and stick over the last 6 weeks!

About 6 weeks of bending under the screen to fill the 4 x 4.

First "scrog", so kinda wingin it!
