SCROG - how to deal with dense bushy leaves

I’m 5 weeks into veg and my plants are really bushy.

I’ve seen many posts that say during veg to not remove leaves, just keep tucking them down.
I’m doing that but it’s left me with layers of leaves sandwiched under the screen. Plus it’s making it hard to keep the branches sorted with the lack of visibility.

My gut tells me to remove half of the leaves for ventilation alone. I find wet spots where the leaves are transpiring onto the leaves below it. I have decent airflow but worried with so much dense growth it will cause problems.

Any advice?

That second picture- gut all that shit out of there. Leaves, nodes, little branches that will never be anything worthwhile. Those are going to stretch up another foot or more i bet. The shit way on the bottom wont get any light. You plan to flip to flower soon?

Ok thanks. Will clean up everything underneath first.
I was going to give it another week or two to try and fill out the 4X4 before flipping to flower.
