well man sorry to say but it looks like you harvested to early. i still can see white pistils. i hope you didnt go by the "80 percent pistil color change" i hope you looked at the trichomes
You can still have white pistils when you harvest, I went 100% by the trichs, mostly cloudy white with a few amber. Thanks though.well man sorry to say but it looks like you harvested to early. i still can see white pistils. i hope you didnt go by the "80 percent pistil color change" i hope you looked at the trichomes
Thanks Shackleford. And Yes! it was definitely worth it. It depends what you are growing under as to if you want to grow using scrog or not. I'm using a 400 hps so I have some light penetration but not a whole lot. Using scrog helps even the light over canopy so that the majority of bud sites are getting close to equal light. Just study up on it and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.THC this is a beautiful grow! Awesome nugs! I was completely unaware of the scrog technique, or at least had no clue what it meant really.
what im getting at is.. was it worth it?
AND should i scrog?? i've been vegging about a week and need to start making decisions i think, link to my journal is in my signature.
+rep for an awesome thread.
Thanks manlooks great man!
Thanks a lot jig, next grow is already in process I will post some pics up later today if I have time. You better watch out or you will loose your lighter in that ocean of pot.
Fucking awesome bro, can't wait to hear how you like the smoke. You did a good job on trimming it all up too.
So.... when does the next grow start, hahaha.
Looks like some good smoke to me. Enjoy bro...that was a good read too.
I'm expecting a dry rate of around 4 oz. I'll know for sure in about 2 days. Not quiet sure about the power I think it increased by about 25 or 30 because the lights were only on 12/12dont forget to tell us the dry weight, and what would u say your electric bill jumped by this grow? an extra 50$ a month?
Thanks Ray, yeah I looked at your grow.... Looking good. looks like you might need a few more lights though, and from my experience I would suggest raising your screen so that your bud sites are close to the screen and not so high above it. This way the plants will get a more even spread of light and you will have higher yields. Good Luck! This is beautiful man. Please give us a smoke report on this!
And please check out our scrog when you have a chance, link below.
Thanks Ian. I was pretty happy with the results.Fabulous grow! I wish I could produce something that beautiful
it's a pretty low yielding strain, and he was also using recycled Fox Farm soil. Also, the bulb isn't intended for growing, not a good as a hortilux or similar. for a budget grow, and for the time invested, I'd say it wasnt a bad grow. I'm growing the same strain right now under CFLs, curious to see what I can do with a heavy feeding schedule.Hmm I dont get it? It looked like alot more weed than that!?? Also thats not very much considering the 1 gram per watt rule, your only at about 1/4 a gram per watt.
Im not trying to bash your grow because it looked like a really good grow, but thats not very much. I think you might have yielded more just by growing naturally? Anybody else care to disagree??
I'm not saying I know for sure, but my guess is that the screen did help with yeild... I think same conditions, time invested, etc. the screen would have outperformed 'natural' plants.I think you might have yielded more just by growing naturally? Anybody else care to disagree??
bro,im so baked i just thought of a great, easy, clean way to water a scrog.................all you need is that tube you got and a plastic bottle, make a hole in the bottle near the top of the bottle that the tube gets an air tight fit in,sink tube to the bottom of bottle, fill with water and blow in the bottle, water will come out the tube like when someone coughs into a water bong and shoots bong water everywareFirst off, Thanks! That's a great question, as of right now I use a 2.5 gallon jug that I place higher than my girls and let gravity do the work. I do this by using a 1/2" tube, I fill the jug up and get the water started flowing through the tube and just let the gravity keep the water flowing. It is a bit of a pain to get to the back plants but I just reach under and go from plant to plant. For my next grow I am going to secure a sheet of plywood under the screen that the plants will sit on, I will then put casters on the bottom so that I roll the plants (screen and all) out of the closet when it is time to water; this will enable me to get to all sides for much easier watering. Here is a pic of the jug and tube.
Hope this helps.
