SCROG question

Heyo fellas,

I am building a scrog frame. My plan is make it stackable. I am going to put the first screen at about 12-14" and I'm thinking around 24" for the second screen. First, is this even necessary? Second, I saw some other people with similar technique that were putting larger holes in the top screen, for example 3" in the first and 6" in the second. Anyone have any advice for me?

I would do your first screen and only add the second one just before flower so you can train them just before stretch. No need for bigger sizes or anything I would stick with 3" all the way

That was an absolute bitch to do lol. Took me way longer than expected. String kept knotting up and when I'd run out I had to go back and run it through from the start because I couldn't just pull it... if that makes sense. There has to be an easier way lol. I think the wood frame looks a lot easier. Biggest bitch of all was tightening it up afterward, almost cut my damn hands. Shes nice though, when you give her a pluck it's almost like an instrument. Coincidentally I was listening to String Cheese Incident all night while doing it, reminded me of being at one of their shows and everyone passing string around lol... what a pain in the ass! I will put it in tomorrow with a little help, no way I can get it in on my own... and it's almost 6AM now anyway hah. Goodnight! I'll post pics tomorrow when it's in.

Good question. Scrogger.com makes and recommends two different size opening in their product. Never understood why though.
