I used to run 6 plants but found out that's too many so now I just run 4 and average " about a pound " each run, I hope that helps. By the way I use a 400w hps for veg. And a 600w hps for flower. Good luck

From what I've read the number of plants isn't very relevant. You want a 3.5x3.5 canopy. 6 plants or 4 plants will both get you a 3.5x3.5 canopy, it's just a matter of veg time. I opted for 6 and a lower veg time. But it's also 2 more root zones to feed and water, but I prefer a faster veg.

Right, if you want a SeaOfGreen, you could conceivably have 12 plants in there. Or, if you wanted to have 2 plants in Rubbermaid totes that are vegged for 2-3 months then that's an option too.
I like to mainline out to 8 or 16 tops and then flip. Doing it like that you could have 4 to 6 plants in there.
Your question is the equivalent of asking "how long is a piece of string?".
The plant on the right was taken to 8 tops and has had incredibly little stretch. The one on the left was taken to 16 tops and is about a month further into flower.

WELCOME to RIU. You will find a lot of great information on here, but also some not so great information. The most important thing is to continue to learn and do individual research to find what works best for you in your garden. Make use of the forums search bar, as this is a great way to find threads that are posted on topics and questions you may have. Furthermore, don't take information as being a 100% valid without verification, I prefer members who have photos, videos, etc to back there claims, but even then every garden and grower are different.

Finally, please know that "Well-Known Member" doesn't necessarily equal "Great/Knowledgable Grower" as many new members tend to make this assumption. I am a prime example of a new grower, who has received this status simply because of my activity on the forum!

Best of lucky with all your grows and again welcome to the RIU community!

In regards to scrogging, I unfortunately don't have any first hand experience but plan on trying a scrog in my next grow. However, I think the number of plants for that size canopy also depends on the amount of time you plan or want to veg the plants themselves. I have seen numerous growers fill a screen that size with a single plant with a longer veg time. With that being said, I find it weird that you would do 6 plants for a square scrog myself, kinda like having 6 plants in a square tent. Check out some grow journals, or take advantage of the search bar for finding more info and opinions on the topic. Best of luck to you.
