SCROG vs Mainline

My grow tent came with a trellis system. IF i keep with "it will double in size on flower" and i have to keep my 150w HPS light ~10in away at all times. I have ~24in of space total that i have to veg and flower in.

Which system is going to be the best way to maximize my yields?

If i go with mainline, how the hell am i going to tie down the plants while using these smart pots? What have you guys done? Pic attached.

SO then can i cut down to 3 nodes and then just weave into my trellis system without even tieing anything down??
Its your show bud you can do what ever you want ;)

I havent mainlined too much but it will add to your veg time in my opinion if you chop it at such a young age unless you have it ACTIVELY growing.

Your plants can do and take a lot. As long as you keep thwm happy in turn.

My suggestion is to pick a height that you dotn want your plants to go over . Then go down a foot or 2 from there to start your net. :)

You got time :)

I SCROG therefore I am . . . Lol. High ceilings and big lights SOG, restricted height and less wattage, SCROG like a mofo. SCROG gets easier as you get to know your strain. The first time you may fill your screen 50% and say "fuck I could have done more" . I am doing a new strain, Ace High, and my veg screen is currently 85% . . . Hoping for small stretch under my 315 and a killer crop.

My plants can only be about 2ft high when finished while still maintaining about 10in. away from the hps light. Mainline does add to veg time, but not that much since you are doing most of your work all at once. You do have to top about 3 times though. 3 times gives you 8 colas.

Then, in theory, once they reach the scrog height i should be able to weave the 8 colas through there and have the scrog keep shit a good enough distance apart and to help it support itself after that without having to fuck with it. Hopefully anyway.

So my question is would i get better results sticking to one or the other, or the best results doing both??

Personally i would do what ever i had to to fill the space im working with.

So if you only have 2 ft to work with then yes i would mainline to keep them flat and then train them to grow flat mabey using a net
Dont know uf that helped at all lol

As to how to tie to fabric pots

Just use paperclips poked through the material?
Get creative .

If you get a stronger fan in there than you will find you can get your 150s HPS lower. I can run my 600 w HPS at 6in in late veg and flower.

If you think about it all indoor growers have a 2 ft (ish) canopy depth to work with so what ever you can do to make that thick and dense is good. I agree with Coldsmoke (ive never mainlined myself).

Yes it helped a lot. And awesome idea about the paperclips.

I could just line the rim with paper clips and tie the tie to those..

What size you think? Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Zone-INCH-Speed-Clip/dp/B014THFEKK/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1520576822&sr=8-16&keywords=small+oscillating+fan

Im hanging the current fan up like this

I'm no expert on fans or your grow space so I wont comment.
Just letting you know that if you can keep hotspots at bay then you can get allot closer than you think with a mature plant under HPS than what you may think. And a 600 is way hotter and more intense light than what you are running. That info may come in handy a little later for ya.
