is there a benefit to scrolling w a 4x8x~7. Is that the perfect hight to ScrOG?
I was login to bump a 4-5 week veg... could make the little individual ScrOG pots easily if I want to

Increase yield? potency? less light?

I was more work during grow less at the end?

Thank you in advance....Creighton

SCrog nets are usually like 10-14 inches from base of plant I think. You could technically SCrog at whatever height was most convenient for you I would imagine.

Are you talking about a SCROG whereby you place a screen over 1 or more plants and weave your plants growing tips under the screen until 75% of the screen is full and then switch to flower?

Or are you talking about SOG sea of green. Lots of little clones closely packed together as single stem plants?

you talked about the little “Scrog pots” Where In a scrog you use large plants and pretty decent sized pots Due to sometimes an increased veg time because of weaving.

I guess im wondering why ScrOG.. I grow for potency.. that's probable what everyone does but I don't super crop or anything like that for the most part im not worried about yield at all interns of quanity.

I was looking into the scrogin if it maximises the best nugs colas whatever. but not at the expense of potency if that is a side effect even minimal.

I guess what im asking is.... if ur not veggie all that long and height isn't a problem..... what's the point?

Thanks guys,
Creighton

I'm not an expert by any means but I think the point of scrogging is to get the most even canopy possible as led and although better hps don't penetrate the canopy all that well so the taller the plants leaves you with popcorn buds at the lower parts... So if you scrog it means you can weave to plant to make sure all the good sites are getting equal light and the lowers parts can be trimmed. Like I say I'm no expert but it's what I've read

It’s just another training method. There is no right or wrong way to grow plants!

there is only the inverse square law of light Which basically is if you double the distance from the light you half the amount of light available.

nobody for example should grow a 6ft tree that is untrained and light it up With a 150w HPS.

Because a 150w hps only has around 1.5ft of penetration power.

so 4.5ft it that tree isn’t receiving enough light to come to full fruition.
