Let the plant get about 3 or 4 nodes tall then top it.
It will then shoot laterally out of each node.
Put the screen just a little bit above the top of the plant then and as those new branches grow train them into the screen

Basicaly just do it high enough so the plant could grow a few nodes to shoot out of but then not too high that those shoots have to reach far to begin to be trained into the net

You can put a screen on top them when you first induce flowering or a week before or when u want specific height reached.I prefer doing it when i switch to 12/12 since they gonna get alot bigger anyway.

ic.so .?there is a standar height that i have to place the screen. i m asking this cause cheemdog gets bigger yield from rhinos so a number of inches above the the soil lvl will be helpfull.i dont know ifu follow me but is my best try :P

There is no 'standard height'
You aren't measuring out medicine you are trying to shape a plant. There is more than 1 correct answer to the question just as there is 'more than one way to skin a cat.'
The idea of the screen is to help you form an even canopy and fill out your space. You can do it without the screen by manually bending stems- but they will need to be re positioned multiple times a day. You can use strings, but that is a lot of messing about. The screen is just the tool to help hold your plant branches in the place you want them and spread the plant out horizontally.

No golden rule to scrog height above the medium, though its one of the more common questions (soil/system/etc). Keep in mind "working space", and the space then above the screen that the colas will grow into (most colas will not make it taller than say 12-24 inches/30-60 centimeters but that height plus the lighting etc. should be accounted for in planning) under standard lighting. If you plan on your hands or tools being under that screen (as you should) there will need to be space for that. How much space?, is up to you but keep in mind "watering/feeding". If your not plumbing in lines, you may need enough space for tilting a watering jug or what ever you use. How the plants get trained into the screen is also preference, however each strain responds differently to stress and different types of manipulation. White Rhino grows into a bush; to increase lateral growth (as was stated previously) topping can reduce your apical dominant cola (main center top cola) while increasing size and speed of the lower branches (ie a more flat surface produced with outward growth rather than vertical). Cheemdog, though not in my gardens, should do well with most any method you through at it (granted some phenos can surprise you ether way). Advice for a new scrogger: Its like a bike, just about anyone can get on and ride, but if you want big tricks, get used to the ride first. Dont be discouraged if you take a spill or two. GL brother.

thanks.i think a made a plan in my head.that info about cola brance develop 30-60cm above the screen help me to get a pic to were place the screen.its my first time indoor and its hard t imagine the grow speed.how much% of the screen should be covered before i swich t 12/12?

All of the screen should be covered
That's the idea, the screen makes you use all of the horizontal space in the grow area

Some people, like mentioned earlier, flower it and train it in while it's stretching.. you can do that too if you want but personally I like to fill the horizontal space, grow a tiny bit more so the branches in those space are ready to go and then I flower it. The longer it grows the less it stretches but judging growth speeds, stretch and all that is really really hard. Pretty much the only way to know what will happen is to get a mother plant and clone that one plant for successive grows. With each grow you'll learn the genetic traits through trial and error.
It's not enough to say it's "chemdawg" or "kush" or what ever- since every single seed has the potential to be a little (or alot) different. Some strains you can plant 10x of the same thing but end up with 5 different grow speeds, bud density, stetch, leaf shape -etc

As woodsmantoker said- there is no golden rule... well other than maybe a simple "use the screen to make a wall to wall canopoy", but that's not so much a rule a a brief description of what scrog is.

very good info i think u really help me.uncles ben threead good too.so i find 3-4 true note top then place the screen a few inch above and start training on net.sounds easy.and i think that topping ur plants is necessary for a good scrog i mean u need bushy plaNTS to cover as much screen before u swich light period.good infro from woods about size of colas under the screen30-60cm and the working space that i must have. gives me pic t calculate things about the grow space i have available, anyway i have 2.15m height thats allows to do a litlle mistake.anyway thanks it was a very teaching debate :P good weather for outdoors here in greece, have a good season.
