Har Har Har, my fast bud is starting to flower too :) I predict within 2 weeks it'll show hairs. I may have more harvests but you no doubt will have more bud :P Can I ask you, is there a way to determine the sex of my plants without putting it in flower? I'd prefer to veg my females for maybe a month or two then flower them.

I thought i could by the smell of my plants. But these plants shot my smell theory to shit. :D

very nice looking plants, do you have a fan on the hps?
Thx, i just have a fan on the side that keeps air circulating. It moves the heat around in the box good. My tops that are 8" away from the lights will be about 86-87 degrees under the canopy stays around 80 degrees.(lights on):leaf:

if they start getting too close a fan on the hps will help with closeness heat. just a heads up. target has a 5 inch 1 speed fan for like 5 bucks.

Pimpkins, exactly. It keeps my bulbs actually cool it seems. I can touch the bulbs and they have little heat.

I crudely sawzalled a hole in the top of my box, i can bring my hps up higher now :D. After this grow i will be building a larger box. (TALLER!!!)

DSCF0002.jpgDSCF0019.jpgDSCF0010.jpg

The plants are 8 weeks old and about 4 weeks flower and 20" tall. I have 25" of head room now, that would be max, next step would have to involve taking the top of the box completely off :D. I think they will be fine. They should't double in size this far into flowering. Tons of hairs are starting to sprout so i think im good. My next box will be 6ft tall at least. Cant wait to build it :D:leaf::leaf:

Need a new camera, the piece of shit i'm using now does't want to take close ups of my tops, all blurry. Going to get a different one soon.

nice job on the sawzall :) your current box will be a nice vegging box. that is most likely what i will do with my old one after this grow. im running into the same issue with height. i let them veg too long.

I don't understand why you guys didn't just LST to the max? I mean stems are very flexible, You could have the stems in a zigzag pattern and have them 7 inches shorter but just as big buds...

I've learned that very fact as you can see on my clone. LST also seems like an art, like you get to form your plant and choose how it grows and where. it makes something unique and special that only you could have done.

Yeah, exactly. I prefer to spread the leaves out as much as possible and keep the stem flat on the soil. It may not be the best idea/technique but I like it.

Ran out of room :(. I started my plants on one side and ran them 12" along the ground. I probably could have lst'd one more time on each side, just did't want to break a stem.

dont worry about breaking stems man i do it all the time intentionally its a method called super cropping. break the top stems lay them flat and you will get a whole bunch of clone like shoots pop all down the length of the stem. it also reduces the overall height of your plant by alot (for a few days) typically done right before flower

Yea i was thinking about super cropping. They are to far along now. If you look at some of my thread youll see i did some crazy lst, i thought that would keep my height under 30", dont see that happening now. I think ill be ok. Plants are at 22" now and i have 23" of head room left. I really dont see them doubling in size this far into flower. Once my tops turn to hairs i wont be worried anymore. Sooooooon :D:leaf:

Depending on the end height of these plants and if i'm using the same seeds next grow i might try SoG. Put a bunch in 16oz bottles. We'll see who grows then.:D
