My fellow Cannaphiles,
A short introduction would be to say that I have a steady supply Feminized Green-O-Matic seeds (Greenhouse seed co.'s auto flowering strain) that I Plan to use in a perpetual auto flower grow. The plants finish around 60 days from germination. I will be using A 600watt mh for the "veg" (if you can call it that) area and 1000watt hps for the bloom area.
The reason for choosing the lighting setup is because it's what I have already. The odds are that after first harvest Ill bring down the wattage a bit, but it will be fun to see what happens to these little ladies under that 1000w hps. I'm thinking about two sets of 20 plants 30 days apart. My outdoor yielded about 20 grams a plant of good smoke and I did fuck all to them except water, in hot 100+ weather. I've been reading 16g to 1oz yields on other G-O-M journals with much smaller lighting setups. So at low yield of 16 grams per plant, 20 plants every 30 days, that is 320g or almost 11.5 ounces. I obviously want to hit that 1oz a plant average, but 11 ounces a month would be fine, that more than covers operating cost.
In July of last year I was able to get some Green-O-Matic seeds and using colloidal to silver force pollen production from a female plant I was left with a nice little stock of feminized pollen and some feminized seeds. I would love to be able to bring a couple other auto flowering plants in the mix for some variety after it's dialed in. Also I cant wait throw a hundred of these seeds outside as soon as it warms up a little bit, in nice deep beds right next to my veggies. As of now I'm just waiting on some equipment to arrive then its lights on.
The lights are air cooled and the room has its own ac unit. I am fully in control of the temperature and soon co2 levels also. I'm so damn excited I don't know how Ill get through work without thinking about growing the entire time.
