is this the bucket that you are growing in or using for watering? silicone will seal the whole, as well as an epoxy

silicon that is used in Aquariumns let cure for 24hrs MIN to go off before getting wet. This is the best to use for glass or plastic that will always be getting wet or is constantly gettin wet. if it only gets a few drips on it now and then u could use a netural cure all purpose glazing silicon.

why do i need a bucket for watering?and is watering the same as topping off water

ok buckets hold water and you can carry the bucket full of water to your plants and water them....or at least some of us do. If it something you have your plants in why would you seal it up? you need drain holes so your roots dont sit in water and rot! never heard of topping off water unless its in a thermous or something to drink ( like topping off a coffee cup). you do need to water your plant lol!
