Sealed Room Questions..Spit A/C..

I am about to build a 13'x6' insulated and sealed room in my garage here in the San Fernando Valley,CA. The flower room would actually only be 10'x6' with the last 3 feet divided off for my mother,clone,veg room.
In my 10'x6' flower room I will be running 2-600's with 6"Blockbuster hoods that I have.(With plans to possibly add another 600 or 1000 in the future). Bottled co2 and a dehumidifier (not sure what size dehumidifier yet if you have a suggestion)Ballasts will be in the room.
I know air cooling the lights would be the most efficient but if I could run with the bulbs open and no air cooled lights that would be ideal for me. I just worry about venting all that hot air from the lights outside.In the winter I don't want a steam/heat trail pouring out the side of my garage and/or if I vent the lights inside the garage it would heat up like crazy in the garage.Would running open bulbs just make the split ac run 24????? Sounds to me if I want ultimate stealth than this is my option
So I guess my question is.Would you vent lights or rely more on ac to cool the room?What size split a/c would you recommend for either option?I was looking at this model Friedrich: M09YH 8,500 BTU Single Zone Wall-Mount Ductless Split System with 10,000 BTU Heat Pump, 12.5 EER, Inverter Technology.Has a heater a well.Also looking at some of the Mr. Slim's. Do you recommend getting one with a heater or using a portable with a timer?
Any and all comments are welcome.Let me know if I missed something regarding setup.

What do you mean by split ac? Do you want one ac for both rooms?

By split AC I mean I want to purchase a mini splt AC.Its not a window unit or a portable unit.Its a mini split.It is much more efficient than either a window or portable unit.It is also more expensive up front.-----Yes I do want to use the unit for both rooms.I figure I can do that with some ducting and fans through the dividing wall so as tp keep the light out of the flower room

45 pint dehumidifier, 10,000 btu perfect for you. get an atmosperic controller sentenial chhc4. your going to have one of the best rooms ever built. i want to see it.

Thanks for replying. When you say 10000 is perfect..is that with vented or non vented hoods. Would you recommend getting one with a heater also?You read my mind about a controller. That was going to be my next purchase. Gotta figure that one out next. I will def check that one out. You use it?

yes i use it. it also has a heater outlet. personaly i vent my hoods, but u may not have to. i just get concenered about heat just sitting there.

I have a 4 1000w room with one ac in it+environment control+co2+vortex12 out take and 12 intake. I also have a nother 4 1000w room that's intake is from the first room with the ac unit. The second room also has a out take+environment control. The second room fan is on more but I only need one ac unit and both rooms have co2. You can vent your hoods, and it is a good thing, or not, i have never had problems with heat or humidity. That is why I ask. Pics are from right with ac 2 left with no ac, sorry if that doesn't make sence, I have been smoking way to much skywalker

So you think a 9000 btu will be able to cool a 10'x6'x8' room with 2-3 600watters without air cooling the hoods? I would have fans blowing up and at the bulbs to disperse the heat.

9000 btu will be more then enough for 2-3 600w without venting hoods. I have a 10000 btu for 8 1000w

Nice..You seem confident in that.Without aircooling the lights is the AC pretty much gonna be running the whole time the lights are on?As long as it can keep the temps I would be so stoked to not have to exhaust the lights.So you think 12000 would be way overkill?

Well you can never have too many btu, 9000 will prob run alot. Right now I have a 14x16 and a 12x10 and a 2x9 for moms

I run a 9000btu mini in a 8 x 12 with no problems at all. I got one of the cheapo ones too and it has done me great. It's really important to figure what you are going to need as far as btu's. If the unit is too big it will not cycle enough to do any RH control.....too small and it runs too much and you need to add RH. Those are the issues I wasn't really expecting and I am so glad I went back and ordered a 9K instead of a 1ton...... This summer when I added co2 and was completely sealed I learned about RH......if your bare bulbed it really gets dry within 2' of the lights..............
Heat? Yeah, I think most all of them do....mine does. BUT, from what I've seen most of them have modes they get set in. If it's in heat mode and not manually switched into cool, well, it wont cool. If your there all the time, no biggy. I 've left mine for 6 days and am leaving in just over a week for 5 days, no worries. I have a little heater(radiant) that I keep in there should it get too cold, set at 60F, atm. And I cant say for sure that some of the more spendy models dont switch modes for you---they very well may or may not, I dont know......

You probably are better off getting the bigger unit if your going to expand....just be wary to watch the rh throughout a few cycles of different conditions....

How much lighting are you using? Air-cooled? Also how do you control the temps when the light are on vs off? You have a night/day timer for the ac or you just keep it at one set temp for night and day with the thermostat built in the ac?
What kind of controller do use use for your co2?
