I ordered a 8" Max Fan which is 675cfm. Grabbed a speedster fan controller, planning to dial it to about 50%. Got some bungies to hang it with to cut down the noise, suppose to be super electricity efficient tho. I'm planning to add a Can 66 carbon filter if not this round def. next. This fan looks like the real deal, excited.

wow some guy that is a serious fan u looking to be upgrading ur lights in the future or a temps a problem for u cause that will deff help u if u have those problems

Well, I found it online for about the same price as the 6" H.O regular can fan at the local shop and it is by far superior in every aspect. I figured if I ever go bigger this fan will cover me up to 1200 ft^3. Plus I liked that it was skinnier, lighter, more efficient and quieter than standard inline fans. My goal is to eventually do a sealed grow with CO2, so yeah I'm kinda lookin' ahead.

Yeah smokin on some right now! Got that sharp taste you get when you hit kief so u know it's the kill. Pineapple grows great too, a FIM caused my last one to bush like crazy and develop 6 colas. Not to mention, I flowered her at just 5.5" and she grew 2.5 ft tall with 2.5 oz of bud in 9 weeks.

I tried to FIM the LA Woman and it just screwed up the leaves, seems some plants take a FIM better then others. I even tried twice to make sure it wasn't me, same results. I also FIMed my hash plant, it's growing a lil crazy now. I think I'm going to take a clone off the hash plant and throw it into flower too see if its a girl or not. The other 2 I plan to keep as mothers are known female, one is a clone of the PE, the other is LA Woman who has pre-flowers everywhere.

Plan is to take out the mothers within the next few weeks depending on how they effect light distance. After I do that I'll fire up the pumps and get this system automated again. I've been watering by hand every morning, 1/2 gal (1.5EC MotherPlant) to the three mothers, 1/2 gal (.9EC Ionic Grow) to the 7 remaining seedlings.

weird how different plants take to fimm differently, shows you how every plant is different.

Day 12 - 2/10:
Moved the tall mother plants out into the other area and lowered the light. They were starting to interfere with the light to the seedlings. I've left the PE clone though as it's short. Plan to leave it in here until flower unless it gets too big. The second set of leaves is starting to grow on most of the seedlings now. Veg here we come!

Once a day in the morning:
1/2 gal 1.5EC mother plant for 3 mothers
1/2 gal 1 EC ionic grow for seedlings

3 drops Superthrive in both and 5 drops Hormex in the seedling mix to promote healthy roots.

Day 14 - 2/12:

Girls are all looking really good. All of the seedlings have started pushing out their third true set of leaves now. One of the kermits seems like a runt (only on its second set), but aside from that everything else is well. The PE clones growth is explosive and I can't wait for a few more weeks to get to the good stuff. I have a 8" max-fan & a 6x24 550CFM Phresh Filter on order that should arrive next week. I'm going to continue watering by hand as long as possible but I may have to go on vacay for a few days so the pumps maybe be fired up sooner than expected. Dropping the screen idea for now, I need to use all clones before I can do a true Scrog. I may still grab a trellis net and use it for support. Mothers are doing great also, they're both about 19" tall and starting to push out some lower shoots that will be next rounds clones. Also, I now know all 3 of my mothers are female so that's more good news.

Seedling Feed:
1/2 gal tap water
3 ml Ionic grow
4 ml Liquid Karma
0.5 ml Silica Blast
5 drops Hormex
3 drops Superthrive
1-1.2EC
Ph: 5.8

3 Mothers:
1/2 gal tap water
5 ml Mother A
5 ml Mother B
4 ml Liquid Karma
1 ml Silica Blast
3 drops Superthrive
1.5-1.7 EC
Ph: 5.8

Lookin good there SG15. How do you like that superthrive? Seen any benifits? I have some but was not sure how or when to use it. I read some neg shit about it so I froze on it!! lol

Only been using it a week, I haven't seen much of a change at all to be honest. lol but I believe it works so it does right? Just use a few drops, then it lasts forever. Can't feel too guilty about it, only 10 bucks.

Day 16 - 2/14:
I've made a few additions to the system. First I installed a tee and two control valves along with 15 feet of hose. On the other end of the hose I installed a 2 liter bottle with the bottom cut off like a funnel. Now, I can flip the valves, turn the pump on and it will pump my rez into my bathtub. And I can hang my homemade 'funnel' on the faucet turn it on and fill my rez. Now I don't have to lug water around anymore The new additives seem to be working great, the girls are all looking healthy.

id love to see a pic of the rez setup, i been wishing for one of those for a while. seems like you solved the problem, good work bro!

Valve A = 15' hose & funnel
Valve B = To flood table

Normal operation for the valves is as pictured. A closed, B open. This floods the tables and drains as usual. When I want to drain my rez, I simply take out the 15' of hose and drop it in the bath tub. Change the valves to A open, B closed, and now the pump will pump the rez out into the bathtub. Now to refill I just hang my funnel (pic 2) up on the tub faucet and turn it on. The rez fills. Flip the valves back to normal orientation and it's ready to add nutes and run.


Here's a good animated pic that shows how the system works in normal config, I just attached the tee and a couple valves to modify a fill/drain hose into the system.

Hope that clears up how it works for ya man.

Installed my 650 CFM Can 8" max fan. MAN this things a beast! pretty loud on full blast too, the fan controller helps quiet it to a reasonable level. I installed it up above in the return and attached my duct up there so it's out of the way. The airflow is really intense though, it makes my bulb shake a touch, not a lot, but I'm a little worried that could have some really bad effects on the bulb, opinions? The fan works really well though, sealed up my temps are about 76, and open its about 74.5. Before it was 83-85 sealed and 79-81 open. Huge improvement, I'm really happy with my purchase

so do you use your bath water to fill your resin? do you keep you resin close to your bathroom, or how does your water get to your resin?

i wanna do a resin for my veg and bloom room, they'll both be in the garage, i have a hose connection in the garage. i seen people having hoses to do there watering. i guess what im saying is i still wanna hand water, but it'd be nice if i could have a resin to mix my nutes in, and some kind of pump attached to a hose that was attached to the resin. is that possible? it's just a pain filling a water bucket, mixing the nutes, transfering to a can, then manuevering to the room, what a pain! thanks for all of the help bro!

omg, 8" with a 400, that does sound beasty! i upgrated from a 4" inline to a 6" inline in my bloom room. im going to install it after my bloom is done, well see, it should move the air around more, but i got a window air unit in my sealed 4x4x6 plywood bloom room.

do you have any air cooling in your bloom room other than the inline exhaust, either way great news that you were able to lower you temps!!

Nope no AC/chiller ect... Just got the fan setup... the final setup will be Phresh Filter (6x24", 550 CFM)---->Hood---(ceiling)--->6-8" collar->Max Fan

Should work really well, can't wait to get my filter on wed-friday

Yeah mines close to the tub. If you want a rez, just get a 50g roughneck trashcan and a 1500gph pump (I can give u link if u want) like shrubs uses. Then grab a wand and some hose and your good to go.

I would watch that shaking. Might shorten the life. Damn bullbs cost too much! lol

Is the filiment shaking? If it is maybe you could slow the fan down to where the bulb doesnt shake but the temps stay down...Good luck!
