Second Grow 150w HPS

Okay so a bit has happened since my last post. I discovered a light leak the other day on the flowering side which explains why she's being so slow to flower, along with the heat. Unfortunately because of the light leak I'm guessing I still have another 4+ weeks before she'll finish. Pics later when the light comes on.

The plants under the LED are doing great, added a link to it in my sig.

I've cut out all of the guts of the pc case and am currently doing a dry run inside with a single 42w CFL to see how temps are with only a small desk fan in the back. If temps are acceptable then I'll be moving the little ones into there and up-potting them to full party cups of soil then starting flower with the LED tomorrow. Things still to be done in the pc case include getting fans for it, deciding how to arrange lights inside, painting the inside flat white, and light proofing the front and back of the case. Sounds like a lot but shouldn't take too long.

Sounds like things are coming along. The best way to see if there is light leak is if the veg and flowering areas aren't side by side when the flowering room light is off you could use a remote light and turn on a light out side the tent to see if there is light leaks while you are inside the flowering area. If you don't want to do that you could always use a web cam in there and be on the outside to do it.

Yeah, I checked when I first set it all up and couldn't find any. I think it may have developed from me messing around adding the setup on the other side then never checking it again.

So due to a combination of old bulb, excessive heat, the light leak from before, and power being so erratic recently, I don't think she'll yield worth crap. Most of her fan leaves have fallen off (not been defoliated, she's dropped them on her own) and the buds are all still tiny and aren't developing at all. So for now I'm keeping her around just to see what happens, but when my new light gets here she's getting the boot and two clones will be replacing her. On a positive note, the pc case works well for clones/initial veg and cost only $6 for everything (some stuff I already had).

My first grow my girl did the exact same thing. Still got some dank ass smoke off it though so it's not all sad news! Looks dope though dude, I dig the LED situation too!

Yeah I'm sure the smoke will still be great, just annoyed that I've made so many stupid errors this grow. First mistake I made was trying to stay in a 10" pot and not addressing my heat issues early on. Thanks for the kind words, I'm really liking the LED so far too and even though I don't post much I'm still following your grow as well man.

Harvested this plant a while ago, it was relegated to being used for hash because it looked like crap. Only ended up yielding about 44g, I'm pretty disappointed in myself. My LED plants are doing much better but I have decided for now not to keep the strain going. I got some seeds from a friend and have started 8 of them. I'll get a new journal going once I have a camera again, also not planning to use HPS for the next grow. Ordered a 500w spectra and waiting for it to arrive. My next grow will be under that, likely in a 4x4 tent.
