And im pulling clones off it for hydro from a femenized seed growing in dirt
Pulling clones from a fem can be a bad idea. You can easily end up with hermies. You may get away with it once. Clones are best pulled from females derived from regular seeds. Be cautious....
And be cautious with the "Texas" talk on a public forum. Not legal, as you well know

My experience has been best to control the temp of the air going in. I suppose no issue with the saran wrap, but don't forget to leave a way in :-). I made a PVC door frame and then cut it out of the reflectix, bought industrial strength velcro, and attached a reflectix door with it.

How much dough you got to spend? I pondered that you could build two tents. An outer one to give a stable room temp and and then the tent itself. It is just that fro.m what i have seen, if you have a good exhaust fan the air is in and out so quickly that relying on something close to the intake isn't enough, it will still pull the overall room temp air in. Anything in the tent is pointless as it gets exhausted too quickly, just a stream of cold air leaving the tent.

don't worry about intake, passive is fine. A hole at the bottom of the tent will allow the exhaust to pull in all you need. That maybe all you had in mind. I didn't get what you meant.

But from my limited experience. In a sealed room with CO2,you can control the temp in it. I have never done this. But with exhaust and intake, I think I would have a hard time managing temps in a garage and that is with LED that add little heat.

Or...find a hidden corner in the house! I cant imagine not being able to open my garage door. Be careful in Texas, y'all suck legallike....

Thanks for that, this is actually the first time ive heard about pulling clones from a fem seed being a bad idea. but i guess i should look more into that before i decide to clone. i could just end up growing another one of my seeds and sticking that in my hydro setup. and maybe cloning the right way later on down the road. although it would be awesome if i could clone from my feminized seeds but if it can't be done it can't be done. there's always next time. and about the (where i live talk) thanks for the heads up ill be more careful.

Not saying you cant clone a fem at all, but just do it once if youre gonna. If youre gonna do it and flower out the original too then ok but be cautious. Dont ever grow a fem as a mother plant and keep pulling clones. You will get chicks with dicks for sure. Happy growing buddy

Sorry skyjunkie but I have to disagree. I am on fifth gen clones off of a fem seed right now, have cloned others before. I have never had a herm come off a fem seed clone.

Youre either very lucky then or every breeder that has told me that is wrong. Ive personally never had it happen so maybe I shouldnt have said it, but at least 5 different breeders warned me about it.

One thing at a time, I'd focus on growing these two plants the best they can before worrying about making clones and going hydro.

lol yeah i know we suck... haha. lived here my entire life. welll... sometimes we can suck.. But yeah i am starting to understand about trying to keep a steady temperature in the room being difficult with an exhaust filter intake. id have to choose between that or the ac. but id rather nobody come sniffin around so..... it seems like a nice idea to start off with. maybe once i see it in action i could make some adjustments. and it could just pull all the air straight from the outside. and i could control it with a thermostat type controller gizmos... lol. it's not actually a thermostat but it functions just like one except there small and plug up straight into the wall and you connect ac or heater to it. in this case itll be the exhaust filter intake thingamabob. and only turn on as necessary. i was actually thinking to keep the light shining into the tent through some plexiglass and just cool the light seperately from the plants. And my plants to have a separate cooling/heating method. but i guess i might just be over thinking it. or the plants might just not receive the light in the same way the would with the light inside the tent.
