Hey fellow growers,

I'm on my second grow here and I'm facing the same issue as before..

Ghetto setup:
- Bagseed
- Small DIY growbox with reflective bubble wrap inside
- 2 x 23W 6400K CFL's + 1 x 45W 6400K UFO LED
- 2 x PC fans (inlet+outlet)
- Store bought high-quality universal and organic substrate amended with my own compost, worm castings, perlite and cooked for 90+ days.
- Second month of veg, 18/6 life cycle.

It was until recently that i noticed discoloration on the leaf tips which progressed further down and on the edges as well.
New growth is fine, happens on the older leaves.
I made a compost tea and watered but didn't make a difference.

Couple of days ago i decided to test the runoff pH, watered with pH 6.4 water and the runoff came out 7.13.
My guess is pH imbalance but can't be 100% sure since I've read that pH doesn't matter that much in organic soil due to microorganisms.

I was thinking nute burn but it looks more like some kind of deficiency/lockout.

What's your opinion?
Any help would be much appreciated.

well doesn't look to healthy for over a month of veg
could be your soil "- Store bought high-quality universal and organic substrate amended with my own compost, worm castings, perlite " what exactly is this and how much amendment's are in your soil? im going to assume its not going to be enough to feed your plants for 2 months. what else are you feeding them?
and if its an organic soil the soil needs to stay moist, it looks kinda dry in your pics
as for your ph does your soil buffer the ph? or did you add something to buffer it like dolomite lime or oyster shell flour?

^^^^^ Can't agree more. And those things do look dry as fuck. Watering good would be the first thing I'd do. I'd also take it easier on the lst and trimming.

I was under the assumption you still need to ph in soil. I know for ffof it’s 6.3 to 6.5 only. If your soul had proper amendments to begin with I’d say it’s ph issue locking you out making plant deficient. But I’m no pro and would research it and see if symptoms are close to problem

Unless I missed it, is there any food source other than the soil itself? If not, she needs food, simple as that. 2 months of veg and this small is a dead give away.

Your home made soil needs a boost with real nutrients. Save the tea, its not going to do anything because there isnt any nutrients in the soil for the microbes to help facilitate to the roots.

Is there a nutrient you have or are looking at?

yeah even the ffof/ffhf/fsf w\perlite and jobes 3/3/3 w\myco splitting the middle of the mix....I seem to really run out hard around 45days, unless you got some of that kryptonite living stuff ....anywhere between 30-45 days she really starts to run out, then I just simply top with ffof and water in....then a week later... hit it with some more Jobes...and keep on with the calmag/kelp (im using ro water) and she coasts to the finish with some yellowing.

as per this write up its worked pretty solid for me. 2-3 oz per plant from ilgm gg#4, thick and dank 20%+ thc.:
I always PH the water in after amending it to 6.3-6.5
