Thanks for the pics & tips. Top pic looks exactly like my plant roots under the scope. My tubing is clear, which I should have realized is a mistake. I will be putting 1" black wire organizer over it. Especially since my black grow bucket replaced a clear aquarium grow tank. In the clear tank root growth was easy to see, but algae was hard to control. Thus the switch. I may let my next seedling develop a week or two as a seedling before moving to the larger bucket. I'll probably end up surrounding the grow pod with clay balls. I took them out in this last grow because I couldn't see roots making their way thru the rocks and out into the pail. I've actually used marbles in past grows. Plan will be to bump the humidity up to 70%, air temp 75 to 80, water temp 68 +/-2, pH 5.7 +/-0.2, TDS will start at ~40 with the RO water. I'll add nutrients at 25% levels to gauge the boosting effect. Got a third accuracy check on the pH, so I know it will be spot on. Will probably maintain ~40ppm H2O2 to augment the the 25W UV light. Will keep the light intensity low (25-50%, and height ~30 inches. Hopefully that will get the next plant off to a better start.
