Second Grow

Just laid them into flower today, little late on making the thread. Genetics are Hawaiian Blood Dragon f3 x Wookie "bodhi", bought as clones named Cosmic Serpent #8. I kept how I feed them the same from last time so for looking for something different for flower this time though. I did jump my pot size up to 15 gal from 10 gal, may come back to bite me in the end. I did on week in the pot they came in and six week veg and some training an them. Open to all input so feel free to chime in, like I said only the second go around. The are in a 4x4 wich has gotten pretty tight and in soil, light is a led and I will finish with adding UVB.

This is solid dude. Looks like you trained them well, nice work!

Id say the 15 gallons are paying off ( I have seen perfectly large plants in as little as 3 gallons ) do you have any photos from your previous 10 gallon grow?

Had to defoliate them yesterday was getting way to pack in there. I wanted to wait a week into flower but was losing air movement along the sides pretty bad. I added another fan and had to take down the net to work on them. I have another foot and half to raise the light for stretching.

It’s been a couple of weeks since flipping them into flower and their moving along. Had to defoliate them once last and will do again tomorrow evening. The stretching is still steady but slowing some, and starting to show some preflower. Oh also getting more thirsty each one drink two gals on the last watering, with none running out into my drip tray.

Quick update girls are doing good from what I can see in my limited experience. Feel like my many job is trimming leaves and small branches off lately, but it’s part of it. I know ready for them colas to show themselves, it’s really the only thing I like a about being in flower. When I’m in veg I get so much more time to work on them which I love doing. Then there’s being in flower all about my patients with them letting them do there thing, hopping I set them up right in veg. Still this shit is fun to me, really takes my mind off the day.

Oh when I started this I thought a 4x4 would be a good size tent it’s not at all. These four plants are barely fitting in there. Hindsight is 2020

You live and learn. Most of us really underestimate the stretch in the beginning and dont flip soon enough or prepare well enough. I grew my 10x10 out into an 8 plant forest so thick I couldnt get inside it anymore.
You going to go with a bigger tent or just try to keep them smaller next time?

Bigger tent for sure down the road I’m trying to get into a no till method soil is not cheap. Most likely after this summer I will step up in size. I will say I really looking forward to the spring and see if I can make a go of being outdoors.

outdoors is the dream for a lot of us but not legal in a lot of states still.
Even though its legal here in CO i cant have anything outside or in plain view.

I have a 6 foot privacy fence and it’s legal here. I’m going to only do two plants in 30 gal pots since will be my first time. Plus the smell and I don’t need unwanted attention.

The ladies are coming along pretty well so far. Still stretching but very slowly so that a positive for me and what pace I have left. Looks like they will get a light defoliation when I feed them in the morning after work. Got my Bowl ready and beer cold for in the morning.

Finally took the time to work on them had issues come up with daycare, so had to change my work schedule. Whatever that’s life take what it is and make the best of it. I have been keeping up with watering and ph when I get home but not so much as training them, it was a busy morning. Had to pop and retrain a couple of the main branches do to the stretch and a good old leave strip. Still for a second grow they are going good, I can see some short comings. There’s some tip burn and I would like for the fan leaves to be a little darker this early in flower so I’m sure the some deficiencies and excess. Pic time

So had some problems with the top of the plants had me scratching my head google this google that. Posted in plant problems got a couple of answers I agreed with them to a point but in the end i feel it’s a heat and air flow issue. So I have moved my fans around and the plants to and washed the cover for the filter. Just watered with a gal of distilled per plant nothing added for this round even though they could easily drink three gals. I have my temp down by 9 degrees so I think that’s a plus. Personally I feel the tent is to packed but it is what it is, just going make this shit work for now for what I have to work with. I will admit keeping those leaves holding on in flower is my Kryptonite
