Second hand hps

I'm looking for a light and a friend of mine is willing to sell me a 600 watt HPS bulb and ballast and a reflector for $200. is that a good deal or should i look elsewhere? Thanks in advance

My segestion is to look up the brand name and see if the major stores in your area have them, if so you can compare and find out yourself. How long did he use it for how long has it been sitting.. will you need a new light, are all questions you should be asking as well.
The longer the HPS bulb runs the less of its origional intensity will remain, where I live they run about 120 to get in the store or you can easily find a replacement one online.

You can get a digi mh/hps kit on ebay for $175-185
