secondary hps 600w-to dual or not to dual

hi,current set up

600w lumatek dimmable ballast
sunmaster dual spec bulb
1.2x1.2x2m tent
5" rvk extraction
6" variable intake (usually on a lil too just stop tent sucking in as much)
cooltube
12" fan suspended from above

i have added a 125 dual cfl in a reflector from just above the top of the pots (4 pots) facing up

my question is have a spare 600 magnetic ballast and was considering removing the cfl on my next flower and adding a 600 hps from above for ghe last few weeks (not sure what bulb ????) and dimming my main 600 dual to 400/475


opinions please

change over to a 1000watt system .........i have confirmed with several ppl including the maker ..............the cool tube can be used for 1000 watt or any other watt aslong as u change the ballast and the light bulb..............so instead of going a dual 600 why not just upgrade the ballast and bulb .........if u still feel u need more u can just get anouther cool tube/ hood system since u have the 600 ballast and bulbs


if i counted right u are at 750 watts now and thinking of going to 1200watts total

I've been wondering myself. I want to put something low & then I read that MH the last 2 weeks will increase potency?

to increase the thc lowwer the light timer to more dark12/12 to 8/16 .............and rem to give it 48 hours dark before u cut her and hang

light on buds grow and get dencer....thc degrades
light off thc grows and resin glands pump out goodness but buds are less dence

it is a trade off game weight to power

they have debate about uvb or uva i am little stoned and dead tired light making more to protect itself from it ............some growers use 10000k+uv light in a t5 4 foot bulbls for the last 2 weeks they say it do to that

iv literally just bought the dimmable yesterday so a 1000 is a no go-i did ponder over it for a few days but i opted to upgrade my 600 giving me a spare 600

my thinking was wider scope for spec's from 2 bulbs interchangable, range of light penetration

would 8 hours on be enough light?

that would be the lowest i would ever go ........that mimic something really far north south

see rem it a flower ..........the flower grows makes stinky resin to get bees to come so it can make seeds after so long it dies and makes anouther set that is the thicking ...this happends when light is on ........as i said when it is off it makes more resin to being the bees ........if u go to a 8 it would be crsytal like hell but u are going to lose weight .......and rem the thc in the plant is gentically controlled so at the maximum there is nothing more if yours is a 17% or a 25% that is all gentics


here is how it goes ..............thc maximumize temps always below 80f 80 or higher degrades........light makes it degrade too this includes when u hang her and dry cure her in the jar limit the light as much as u can .....when u have to do something in the light adviod dirct light use indirect get what ever done and get it back in darkness

well rem it is the lumens that get the depth in the plant once it bushes..................then go the dual system ......since it is a cool tube u can do a partly vertical have the lights sucking up from the coners .......like setting up a teape poles ........later on if do not light can always move around....but that would pretty killer set up for one or 2 plants

have u looked into SCRoG methods
or some t5 2 foot lights for side walls

i have a 2ft 4 tube 4 t5 in my dp90- pretty niffty bit of kit but would i not need to have a unit on 3 walls for a even(ish) spread which would be quite costly

iv been LST'ing and making a halo/ring type gadget to open the canopy on my current grow-a screen would be more practical

no just have to have a rotation plan ...............i been thinking about getting one of those spinning disply stands and setting the plant on that so it spins around every 30 secs ...............i have a 600watt with a 8bulb 2ft 5t on the back wall with 10000k and growlights

the spiny idea sounds like a stroke of genius,it would suit my future grow i fancied doing a single tree at some point so that would be awesome

how would the 125w dual cfl compare to the t5 for vegging ? pondering over pinching the t5s from the dp90

my last veg was under hps and currently got one under the t5 and im very impressed how short the internodes are conpared to the hps veg-my understanding is thats the lack of red spectrum reducing stretch?

yes the red spec always makes them strech ................u always get the best results off a 5000 6500k or MH system for veggie as it hits flowering they strech out natural and do to the red light

i did a veggie under mh i was happy i mean nothing of my last ones looked like that on the best day so many leaves branches on branches with bud sites forming .......and this is the 20.4% thc shit i would cry if i did not think it jinx me

the t5 i had works great for 1 weeks (i use cfl in a speical area for those go nice and slow need it to make it plants) the sprout stage does not react well to MH as well does to T5

if u get a 4 foot t5 system u are open to 5 options of bulbs one of them in the 10000k+uva and a (set in the 5400k range perfect veggie light )..............they can be used to combine with a HPS to fill in some of the blue and to give u a hit of uva to make plants do more resin glands to protect the leaves and flowers from the uva (natural sunlight)

u want to order something like this buddy .......................it will allow u to daisy chain them (u plug one into a timer and then if u get a 2nd one it can plug into the first one inside the tent).............the one u had was for light up fish tanks good but u did not want it ......u have to make a speical stand system for the lamps ........this one i linked is a hang ................just get some rope racheting hooks like 10 bucks in the states and u can hang lower move up alot easier ..................i sawl the shipping cost damn if u can find one like that then go for it ......i know the bulbs fit those brands

this is a 4foot ..............here is the usa dealer of those lights i was telling u about ..............i linked u a 4 foot light this will allow u to pick from the 5 different bulbs....a 2foot they only offer 3 types


as for what to order ............if u are going to keep it in the same tent as the HPS ...........the 10000k+uva and the 5400k super grow ..........order 8 bulbs total ......4 of each of those 2 if u want u are now set for clones starting and veggie starting .....to finishing with uva to promote more resin glands ...............when u are on HPS u could do 2 of each and see how the results are then change it around untill u get something perfect

yours will do much better then mine .........and the 4 foot on a side wall is 20,000 lumen more then what u had (t5 4 foot is 5000 lumens 2 foot 2000 lumens per bulb)..........

sorry about the work just trying to tell u what is the best so do not buy then upgrade like i did ................u find a place that offers the bulbs in your area and get the pin to pin length of it (so u know what it is very important) .....then u ask the seller what size bulbs there T5 fixqures take ........match it up and get the best price u can and u are set know where to get replacements and know they fit and match
