I came across this thread last year and I’ve been producing my own feminized seeds ever since. I’ve easily spent over $1000 in seeds in years past. Now, I’ve probably collected over a thousand seeds and crossed some of my favorite strains to create some phenomenal hybrids.

They were fridge stored after dry ... I managed to keep some pollen less than a year , heard potency drops off.
This one is about 4 months old. Never tried freezing tho.

Wow great pics, I did this a few years ago before I went to jail (I think you actually told me how to do it then too)) The best thing is that I have had a strain that a buddy of mine crossed in the early 1980's and as far as I know I have the last of it. Since I had some seeds hidden that strain still lives today. Ironically it make me real paranoid when I smoke it even though no one else has that side effect lol

UPDATE > Dual solo cup seed making

Details :

Strain - KKP KING KONG POISON ( Durban Poison x GG4 ) - Hazeman seeds
Both germed at same time - same growth.

One was sprayed with CS ..... The other is untouched Fem

Both started 12/12 , CS plant sprayed twice a day until pods form ( see pic )
Fem plant start to preflower. That plant will be the seed maker. CS plant will continue up to pods ready to pop.
Then I will place both plants into a big clear bag and allowing pollen donor to fully dust up that fem with a bit manual help.
Cs plant’s job is then done ..... straight to bin.

Pollinated solo will continue growth forward seed run.

Note : These seeds were from my original S1 SEED RUN.

First, pop your seed of choice or pick seedling / clone of choice. Make sure it is a healthy plant to start. You can either leave plant in solo ( and put under 12/12 ) or up pot .... allow for some bigger growth THEN put under 12/12.

I chose to grow a slightly larger plant than previous solo breeding this time .
Here the strain used is a Hazeman seeds- KKP KING KONG POISON ( Indy dom ) GG4 X DURBAN POISON cut. Simple bagged medium and water only grow . There is no need for
unnecessary feeding as we are only looking to make seeds and wanting simple requirements.

In a solo config , think of the solo cup challenges type of grow ... under 12/12 from start.
When plant begins to show sex , it will be time to spray .

I up potted slightly to grow it out a bit more ..... this plant will have mid and lower node areas sprayed and upper colas for pollinating / seed bearing. This plant will NOT be consumed .

This strain is quite hardy and was chosen to keep for more beans. !
Here is an example about 3 weeks old .

Some growers prefer STS over CS but if CS is at least 40 ppm , then it will work fine .
You can also DIY CS but I purchased Silver Mountain colloidal silver and it is 50ppm.

I am running the up potted plant under 12/12 today and will update the steps forward once she grows out and sexes under 12/12 schedule.

Hello. I have a question. I was going to do the 2 solo cups for green crack auto by fast buds. Only 1 seed out of 3 germinated. My question is it ok to self this one and then use these seeds to do the dual solo cup seed making?

Sure why not. Thats what im doing now. I taken original Self seeds i got from project and pairing again.

Update : Dual solos

Well , i had to up pot those two . Normally i can keep them in a cup all the way but for some reason they were looking a bit rough.

Come to find out BOTH had a wide perfectly circular “ band “ of roots at bottom of cups. ROOTBOUND.

So instead if continued stress , i transplanted them to further their life.

Male is flourishing better now with more pods ....
And some are showing early splitting , so hopefully gonna start to dump soon. Male is isolated as a window grow ( away from grow tents ).

Female is still under 12/12. Getting a little taller and working thru the rootbound issue. More bud sites ( lower ) are present and will get dusted when male finally begins to throw pollen. I will then bring female over .

Brilliant thread, thanks for sharing this, i asked about this very subject last week but didn't receive a reply, i was curious about crossing with itself in comparison to using a male.

It's something i want to learn about i ordered a book on breeding weed but i've not had a chance to read it yet...you've answered two of my leading questions and some others.

@Budzbuddha how do you clean you tent out after a grow? Rocking a Scyence LED light so I can wash the light down easily as its 100% waterproof. Currently using a 2x4 tent and I do have 2x2 tent somewhere but i'm not quite sure where it is, did a quick search this afternoon and its no where to be found.

Thoughts to spray down the entire inside with bleach and wipe down and let dry and repeat 2x, then put the fans on max and let the exhaust move around / dry out the tent for a few days

Whats the difference between CS and STS? I'd probably eat some CS myself to see what it does to my body, supposedly boosts your health

thanks for this very helpful and informative thread.

i have a question on how i would self an auto that is regular, how would i know if it is a female plant if i will be spraying it early on.

Do i wait for sex to show up, or just spray lower nodes with cs at about 3 weeks of age so that the top nodes would tell me if it is originally female?
