Seed & Mildew Question

Can mildew live inside or on seeds if the mother had it while they were developing?

We are currently breeding Blue Streak/Sour60s for seeds and also creating a Blue Streak/Sour60/Afghan Kush Ryder cross just as an experiment to try (hoping the seeds will auto!)

We were offered many reg Sour60 seeds but know that the grower had mildew on all his plants and did nothing to treat it while they were growing. We don't want to contaminate our grow with mildew, but would like some of the seeds if they are safe. I haven't been able to find anything online about this so hopefully some more experienced growers can help.

Thanks for any input :)

Yes and you will prob find it was the seeds that caused the mold to start. When it rains it takes longer for the seed bract to dry and mold starts there.

It was an indoor grow, so no rain. The grower had powdery mildew (no mold) on several grows, he never really tried to get rid of it so it just kept coming back.

Even still the wettest part of a seedy head is where the seed is. So if you get mold, being seedy makes it worse.

Yeah that makes sense. His growing conditions aren't ideal (humid/hot/no ventilation) so he has more failures then successes.

i had a great cut of trainwreck that had pm that was impossible to get rid of so i made some fem seeds out of it to rid it in my grow room. the seeds that have popped show no signs of the pm problem

cacamal - Trainwreck is sweet. Thanks for the reply, just had a couple questions. How long have they been growing? Did you plant them directly out of the bud or did you have the seeds for a while before planting?
