I see that the poll is evenly divided. Hmmm looks like we both voted different ways. You must do better with clones then I do.

I chose clone because all the growing I did in Washington was clones... This is my first indoor grow, and im using seed.

i haven't voted yet.

i like the ease of clones.
but for good solid healthy plants i'm voting seed.
so seed it is.

i just love the way the nodes stack up. especially outdoors when let to grow to their fullest potential.

is a question of what you planning to do with it fdd, if it is for a complete new batch i always go with some good seeds, if its to continue i go with clones, no need then to waste money for seeds:)

Definitely seeds here I like to watch it grow from a seedling I like to know where I am starting as with clones you have to get them to root and that seems to be my biggest f*cking problem with Clones....I like seeds I keep a tally of how many I put to germinate to see what percentage of seeds popping was ...I hade it down to like 90% om my seeds popped alot of times it was a 100%.....I have lost about 5-6 seedlings since I started growing so I am not doing to bad those that I lost were just developing weird shaped leaves and the stems were tiny....tiny.... well anyways... my vote seeds!!

let's say " a complete new batch".

so to rephrase.

if you were starting a new strain, in your garden, would you prefer clone or seed?

I enjoy using seeds so every time I can try something different and figure out the best way to grow from seed. I have never tried clones, but plan to in the future. As of now it's seeds!!

clone's are so much better because you can get your crop done quicker and you no what your getting unlike a seed where theres 50% chance that it will be a nasty male

If you want to smoke the same strain forever especially if you get into the trap of not wanting to pay for seeds, i like having different strains each grow so that i have something to look forward too, finding out how it grows smokes n tastes

i would go with seeds since with seeds you can't introduce pests from a other grow to yours. also can seeds travel further unharmed while clones are more limited in range they can travel with a good chance of survival. which may work would be cuttings in a cooler but that is no way for postal travel nor will this prevent the risk of infections get shipped along.
so ultimately, for a new grow or new batch of grow i would always choose seeds over clones/cuttings:)

clones = more $$$ less time...
clones and cloning technique are a cornerstone to gardening... cloning is simple and should be mastered by all growers

seeds just seem to produce better colas EVERY time... The biggest colas I have seen always come from plants that were started from seeds.. the plants have BIGGER leaves and are all around moreimpressive..

CLONES = females 100% of the time... thus clones, are BETTER!!

I love the clones for automatic female aspects.

But as GK stated, i love the way a seed grows out nice leafs/colas.

To be fair they both have their good and bad aspects. We should be able to do both. I can and do (but still love those seeds). :)

The only thing about clones is that eventually the genetics of them will get weaker and weaker and more prone to bacteria. Granted it would be a while for that to happen, but we wouldn't be anywhere without the good ol' seeds!!

keeps some seeds as back-up, but... CLONES all the way. I like to keep the balls out of my garden. i actually have a mix going right now. sucks to know that ill be throwing some of them out when they are sexed. :-? but the cuttings from the fems will be keepers :hump:
