Seed Production And Resin Production

I don't know how true it is, but i have heard that when seed production on a plant starts, the resin production stops. Is this true?

If it is, does resin production stop overall, if you only pollenate 1 area? or will the unpollenated buds still continue to produce resin to fill the pockets of the bud where the seeds aren't growing?

Yes it stops but if you pollinate one branch the others will still get frosty but your yeild will suffer a bit to to focus on seed production
