Is this seed ready to be put in the dirt? sorry about the quailty I dont know how to take close ups with a digital camera

once a seed is mature it is ready to be put in soil.

I was just wondering if it was long enough, usually my dad would let me know on something like this but he wont be home till tonight and its a wonderful day out to start a seedling in the sun and I didnt want to miss out by waiting for him to get home to tell me if it was long enough to put in the dirt
