Seed/Seedling medium until DWC other than Rockwool

I am having all kinds of problems with my seedlings going to first node and then stopping and dieing at that point. I have been growing in Rockwool and it has not been going well, as I have killed 5 seedlings so far. What other medium can I use?

soil, or try the rootit cubes mate. they work for me.

They are going to die in any medium if you keep drowning them.

Can you go from soil to DWC?

Rockwool will drown your seedlings .They suck! Jiffy starter pellets work great.I wait for my roots to shoot out,then i put them in my 3 inch net pots w/hydroton balls. lightly water till i see nice roots then into my baby DWC set up.moby dick ready for the 5 gal bucket.
